Woohoooo..... so Tuesday folks, while I was posting, the visa came in the mail!!!! Quicker than you can say "debbiesux", we were loading the car, en route to get Company & Mysery checked by the vet (lady @ POE said we needed a Canadian certificate for the birds.... ). We drove to Lethbridge and stayed over at the Days Inn. Wednesday we crossed through Sweetgrass Montana and drove all the way to Mercer Island!!!!

The POE experience was quite blah, they were apparently more concerned with the budgies ties to organized crime than with my petite immigrant self. Bad thing is: they reversed me to my maiden name (I asume to match name in passport, eh?) so now I feel weird.

Mercer Island is so beautiful, although we have not really went around that much. We sign the lease next monday and UPack will deliver on Tuesday and now I am freaking out about WTF they will park - no space goddammmmmit!!!!! We opened our WaMu account and are now shopping for cable/phone services. So far, 2 calls from headhunters for moi. We'll see!

Bren's parents are already organizing several gatherings with their friends... and something tells me my mamma in law has secret plans for "a wedding", since ours was so small.... hmmm. They are lovely, but I can tell you I am enjoying it more than Bren he he.

So that's our report from the trenches... now I'm off to read some posts and catch up with y'all.

The birds behaved better than me on the highway.... I mostly fell asleep (so says Dr. B.) and asked to be fed LMAO.
Now the wait for the GC and the SSN begins... in the meanwhile I will go outside and enjoy that even if it's raining, it's not MINUS FUKKKKIN FORTY!!!!
