Since the requirements vary drastically sometimes from consulate to consulate, let them be your guide... did they provide you a list or do they have one on the website?

Hey Ara,

You need the original copy of your marriage certificate and your husband's birth certificate, your birth certificate is not needed at the interview, copies of your federal tax return for 3yrs,copies of your bank accounts that shows current balance, pay stubs, letter from your employer, just any financial paper that will proof to the CO that your husband is not likely to become a public charge while in the US plus make sure you have TONS of evidence that will proof that you have an ongoing relationship for real.

If you meet these primary requirements i tell you babe your husband is on his way to America yes.gif ....

You are in my prayers Amy.

Good Luck,

they should have copies of your birth certificate and passport from your original application. I sent a copy of the original application to my fiance.

Every consulate is different so check their website. Also check the guides up top cause they have advice on what to carry. The DOS website says that they consulate can ask for an original of anything that you ever submitted as part of the application process except for the US passport. So, I'd say send everything that you can so that if they ask for anything he has it.
