Hi guys, called the operator, real cheeky of me, but i really wanted to know about this.... i said i received my checklist coversheet, hahah unfortunatly i "spilled" coffee on the very bottom part that had the 3 digit code A2D 10/04/2007 casen number etc etc.. What a blag.. hehehe

She then proceeded to tell me, don't worry about that stuff at the bottom, its only the barcode and case number we need to get it to the right person. Then repeated to say, don't worry its just the barcode and case number we use to scan it in a get it done

Awesome! But still being weary of the operator i'm gonna just delete mine completly and send the goods in!

GOOD STUFF.... thanks for the detective work

Chris Parker made the shortcut, and I was pretty much his first test subject (besides himself)... Both of us sent in the shortcuts with the A2D...

looks like everything will work out... I'll let you all know how things go. Mine was delivered on 10/1.

What is A2D???

So does this mean that we can go ahead and send in the DS-230 without the Barcode sheet?? Will they accept it?

No. You should include the cover sheet, otherwise processing may take more time or stuff may be discarded.

A2D, if I understand it correctly, only shows up on RFE cover sheets.

A2D, if I understand it correctly, only shows up on RFE cover sheets.

Yeah it was a small code that was showing up on peoples RFE's, different codes were showing for different people's cases, and to be honest we couldn;t really work out what it was for, but its clearly not needed anyway, my case got complete sending in without these codes.

I was told as long as the barcode and case no. are on the sheet you'll be fine

Has it been mentioned that those 3 codes may mean the initials of the ones that reviewed them the first time, or who got the file from last 'touch'?

Yes, we thought about that. The options were to either put a bogus code in there, possibly the wrong code, or no code. Obviously, nobody looks at it anyway since we've tried two of those options (never tried bogus code) and everything went just fine. No code seems the best choice.
