Do you think you have the worst job you can think of? What do you think is a bad job?
Jenn!
Embalmer would definitely be the worst.

I'd be a toll collector for sure, they get paid pretty well I hear.
payxibka
Elevator operator... it has its ups and downs

worse is an animal slaughterer...

i have worked for the parole board of kansas\

I think poop scooping for elephants would be pretty bad.
Nessa
Animal slaughtering - I don't think I could do that.

Yes

I used to do construction and thought that would be difficult once I reached a 'mature' age so am very lucky with what I do. I don't think I would want to do anything with sewers unsure.gif

I voted other after I saw this:

When you have an "I Hate My Job" day, try this:

On your way home from work, stop at your pharmacy and go to the
thermometer section and purchase a rectal thermometer made by
Johnson & Johnson.
Be very sure you get this brand. When you get home,
lock your doors, draw the curtains and disconnect the phone
so you will not be disturbed.
Change into very comfortable clothing,
make yourself a cocktail and sit in your favorite chair.

Open the package and remove the thermometer.

Now, carefully place it on a table or a surface so that
it will not become chipped or broken.

Now the fun part begins.
Take out the literature from the box and read it carefully.

You will notice that in small print there is a statement:

"Every Rectal Thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson
is personally tested".

Now, close your eyes and repeat out loud five times,

"I am so GLAD I do not work in the thermometer quality
control department at Johnson & Johnson."

HAVE A NICE DAY AND REMEMBER,
THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSE WITH A JOB
THAT IS MORE OF A PAIN IN THE ### THAN YOURS.

when i was 17-18 i had one of the worst jobs ever (dirtiest & nastiest anyway). i worked at a truck wash (semi trucks) in the stock yards.....yah keep the visual going. nothing like climbing in the back of a bull hauler w/ a shovel......but wait it gets better. next you get to do a wash out. yep...a super sized car wash wand blowing out what you didn't get w/ the shovel... ohmy.gif

I don't consider any of them to be so bad of a job that I wouldn't do it if necessary. IF I needed a job to take care of my family and one of these were available, I'd do it. Didn't say I'd like it, but I'd do it.

There are FAR more worse jobs then on this list. I've been involved with three and never considered myself having a bad job. I've been an embalmer. It is far from a bad job. There is a great satisfaction in the art and science of this profession. It has many rewards obvious and not so. Helping a family at one of their weakest times is very satisfying.

To be honest, I consider a job like standing behind a counter at McDonald's one of the worst jobs. I could never look at someone and say, "Want to supersize that?" I'd take any of the jobs listed over that.

I used to have a friend (until he ripped me off for 5k that I loaned him as a friend) that was a mortician, he seemed to enjoy it but maybe it was picking the gold out of people's teeth mad.gif

This is too funneeeeeeeeeeeeee. I am literally crying. Thanks I needed that laugh. I pray I didn't disturb my neighbors.

I think I could be a toll collector. If I were brawny enough, I'd totally do construction work. It can pay REALLY well (at least around here it does). It might be weird, but I'd be an embalmer if I had to.

But I could NEVER slaughter an animal. I couldn't deal with the smell of working in a sewer or collecting garbage.

i worked at subway for 2.5 years and that was horrible...making people's fast food is one of the worst jobs

i was also a telemarketer, and that wins my vote for worst job ever
kisschick1976
I have been:

A telemarketer
A cashier
A customer service phone rep

I would GLADLY do any of those listed jobs than to have to go and do these jobs ever again. Growing up I always wanted to be a mortician biggrin.gif

ETA: ok maybe not so keen on the toll collection. I just am NOT a people person. I hate the general public.
Toshtishtash
I could not be an embalmer.... The thought makes me shiver. I do not cope well with death, I would be a complete mess the whole time. So this would be my worst job.

Same with animal slaughtering, I couldn't do that either.

It totally depence on the pay devil.gif
