Can I just tell you two that I am a person who gets excited and become extra proactive and I am a master Harrasser. Oh, back to the point, I have been in contact with the NVC, and Barbados Embassy, several times, and I have had no unpleasant experiences so far. I dont want to jinx myself, but my emails from the embassy have been returned in no more that 24 hours, and questions answered via phone. They even told me to feel free to follow up with a call for the interview date once the appointment has been scheduled.

I called the VSC but no news out of them i could not get past the service people i wish i had a inter office phone list i should have tryed the ref trick.

Wow... hopefully they are that helpful and proactive for all of us... I have not heard any bad reports about Barbados yet and I pray it stays that way. Keep me updated on your progress and experiences with Barbados and I will do the same.

Just from watching the trends and the way things are moving currently, there's a significant chance that we could see CSC start hammering out October approvals in numbers as soon as next week..

Hey there everyone! Congrats to those who are onto the next level!! Still no word out this way.

Just out of curiousity, why is it that the uscis.gov website has not updated their processing times for any of the applications, most specifically for the I129F, as of yet? I just fail to see what they updated on January 15th.. not that any of the applications look to have been updated even at the end of 2007.. or am I seriously missing something here?

Any news for anyone else waiting?

This might be encouraging at least to the early October CSC filers. A couple from the Canada forum who filed at CSC the last week of September got their NOA2. They are just a few days ahead of those of us who filed the first week of October. (Yeah, there I go stating the obvious.)

Sorry, what I am asking is WHAT exactly was updated? Because the processing timeframe for I-129F applications still says July 19, 2007? Given that we're now in 2008 and all..

That date on the USCIS website (July 19th) means that supposedly CSC are working on I129F petitions that were submitted around that date. Of course we all know from VisaJourney that they are actually working on Aug-Sep right now. I believe that USCIS purposely puts a date that is at least a month behind what they are actually working on to prevent too many people from calling to check on their case status! If you do call them, they will apparently just tell you to be patient because they are 'still working on files submitted on July 19th...' and only call back when your case is outside that processing timeframe. Argh! I wouldn't pay much attention to what the USCIS website says - VisaJourney is the way to go...

I believe the site says that it was last updated on January 15. Also, theoretically, the "July 19" means that date is the oldest application they are still working on, but it is more likely what Meridien said (that they pick a date a month behind the bulk of the petitions they are working on) because I know there are a few earlier than that date that are still pending.

There have been quite a few approvals from CSC for people who filed at the end of September, which is encouraging to me since I filed at the beginning of October. BUT the late September filers getting approvals now are a bit faster than what seems to be average.

Oh, sorry, Halle. I just noticed you filed in Vermont. Vermont is faster than California. Although I think there are still some couples still waiting who filed in September and August there as well, they ARE already approving October filers at VSC. If you want to see the date USCIS gives for Vermont, you can change the service center before clicking the "check processing times" button. CSC is the default.

It is snowing in NY (brooklyn to be exact) It is the first heavy snow for the season and looks so beautiful. Well that is because I have not being outside all day . I check in once in awhile to see any updates and approvals..... I really hope for speedy approvals for all who are waiting.

Tell me about it. At least when CSC was issuing out approvals (like last week), it keeps the excitement and spirit going. This week, it's been quiet so far. But then again, it's only Tuesday.

At least you get to see your SO on webcam. I can't find my webcam at home and by the time I get home from work, the internet cafe at my SO's country are all closed for the day due to the time difference.

I feel you though and I know everyone else here feels the same. But like what my SO told me yesterday, Valentine's Day is only for a day. When we get reunited, we'll have everyday to celebrate Valentines Day, and then some!
