We received a touch on the 29th but it didn't change the status; it was still "received and pending".
Checked the mail when I got home from work today and the letter was sitting there.
It turns out we were approved on the 28th!

Received the actual NOA2 in the mail today. It says the information will be sent to the consulate listed. However, there isn't a consulate listed...Is that a problem? I assume not, since they know what consulate based on the forms....just overanalyzing

Hey All, Just dropping in to let my VJ family know.....I GOT APPROVED YESTERDAY THROUGH VSC! That's one more notch for the October filers so just wanted to share the news!
I Filed Oct. 5th and got the NOA2 Email yesterday so it took 112 days all together. Hope this gives some of you other October filers some encouragement that you to will be approved soon!

Be careful on the assistance from your State Senators. Sometimes it can help, sometimes it will be a detriment, and sometimes, no help. In my case, when I filed, I looked at the USCIS website to see where to file. It told me to send I-129F to VSC. After I sent it, the website was updated and I was supposed to send to CSC. Even though I have a receipt number, I have not even had a single touch since the receipt date. Two weeks ago I emailed my State Senator and explained that I thought my packet was lost and that when I told the USCIS that I thought it was lost, they turned mean on me. The Senator's office called me 3 days ago and told me that my paperwork was on an adjudicator's desk right now and was under adjudication. I should hear something from the USCIS in about 2 weeks, the Senator's office told me.
Now, I was told by a friend, that sometimes the employees at the USCIS, hate it when Senators get involved and this gives them a reason to scrutinize your paperwork and stall it for the smallest of errors. I don't know how true this is, and I have yet to find out how it affects my case, as I have not yet heard anything.
Well, there's my 2 cents worth.
