I agree....I think it's best to ignore it since it'll just drive us nuts and I know we'll all get approved BEFORE our estimated dates!! smile.gif

February or March approvals for the October filers please!! kicking.gif
Eli the Barrowboy
There are 18 August Filers at CSC who have received their NOA2s as of today (17-12-2007) - this isn't counting the 2 or 3 exceptional clearances.

Keep crossing everything people!!!!
sweety&baby
Ok, so I was looking at the K1 timelines today and there is someone on there that had approval in just only a month from Vermont. Why would they get theirs that fast? They had a NOA1 on 9/28/07 and NOA2 on 10/30/07. Their interview is 1/11/07. That's irritating!! I saw someone else from Vermont that had approval in just over a month. Maybe it depends on what country your SO is from. I don't know. I'm still hoping for one soon. Sorry, just needed to vent a little...lol

(Additional info to earlier post ...)

That's 18 out of 65 August CSC filers awaiting a decision.

At the minute CSC are getting through an average of just over 5.5 per day - there's roughly 150 people in front of us October filers at this stage - which means that in 28 working days we should get our answer.

So that's about 5.5 working weeks with say 2 weeks off for Christmas - that makes the first October people clearing in around 7.5 weeks!!!

Before you all shout at me, the numbers I'm working with are all just VJ'ers and very rough - plus there might be a complete glitch in that the majority of July/August/September filers didn't join VJ - or it could work the other way where loads of extra July/August/September people have joined VJ!!!

There you go!!!

Thank you.... I can manage 7.5 weeks... I think blink.gif Come on, CSC!!!
melusine
i think the guy that got approved in a month (i saw about 15 days) in vermont is just very lucky and might have been a glintch in the system.
the "rich" people are not concerned byt the speedy process since it applies to i129 but not i129f.
Merk
hmmm not sure if it is a " military" thing who knows(saying that because I am Military and have heard nothing since filing in sept! Not trying to cut the line innocent.gif ) but I am just wanting them to type the approvals faster for everyone! This waiting is frustrating and lonley. crying.gif .
Osakeme
Trust me I am beyond my wits at this time, not only can we not plan anything...... we have a future that is being held at ransome at the VSC and now the visa fee increased by $31 all in the name of security and expenditures mad.gif (saw the post is sub-african forum)......
I am so pissed I can bearly see straight. mad.gif
AngandKeeb
Yeah, the fees suck and the waiting really sucks. . . .but I am trying to find things to occupy my time. . . like I have taken up drinking as a sport. . .. j/k whistling.gif
stuartx13
Ya me to im geting good at it to devil.gif
LuciansGirl
I'll drink to that! lol biggrin.gif
AngandKeeb
Cheers to us October filers!!
DongDong
O.K., I'll jump on, or do I fall off....??!! 7 weeks of drinking then innocent.gif blink.gif
Meridien
Pour me a glass or six, too!

I believe in all of us, let's keep our happyness ! things are moving..slow but they are and we probably all knew about it when we started. Let's cheer to that new year coming up and for us to all join our bf/gf anytime soon in 2008.
About plans... i would say the safe option is august/september if nothing goes wrong.

What are october filers are planning about wedding and dates so far ?
I think we would be ready to move in august (of course will be crazy happy if before)...what about everyone ?
LuciansGirl
Hmmm....we plan to get married maybe a month or two after his arrival. A civil wedding for now since we can't plan for a nice one when his ETA is unknown at this point. We'll plan a nice one after we save up, hopefully in a couple of years.

Although this whole process is draining and frustrating, we do have a lot to be thankful for. Next year is around the corner and ALL of us will soon be reuinted w/our SO.

A wonderful New Year and new beginnings to all the VJ'ers!!

I recently signed up for an account on the USCIS website, I haven't received any e-mails yet but I hear everyone talking about TOUCHES, how do I know if my case has been touched? And how do I find out about this estimated date that I reado some of you talking about? Sorry, I'm a little lost when it comes to this stuff lol.
Meridien
Ah, the infamous 'touch'...it basically just means that the 'last updated' column in the table when you first login has a new date. This can be a very good sign as it will usually sit at the same date for months (in my case 10/19/07) until it is assigned to an adjudicator. Once you get a touch an approval will often follow shortly after, which is why everyone gets so excited about them.

Oh ok thanks, =( I just cheked, I filed on 10/9/2007 and it was last touched on 10/12/2007 oh well I still hope for february or march.
brazuca
Yep. February and March sound about right. This wait is so nauseating though. I just try to keep myself occupied with college and work; that helps. Does anyone have word if August filers from VSC are getting there NOA2's? I've heard alot of CSC's are... but not much about Vermont. What in the world are all these "new employees" doing? I mean... 5-6 cases a day? how long should it take for over 200 people to look at one couples paperwork? This is ridiculous.

How did you get that estimate thing on your timeline? I entered in the information but it didn't give me an estimate.
Meridien
Click on 'My Timeline' when you're in your profile, and scroll down to the bottom. There will be Visa Journey's best guess of when your NOA2 will come. You will need to fill in the 'I-129F Sent' field to get it I think...I just checked your timeline and there's no estimate...

Oh thank you very much, you're right the only thing I needed to do was fill in the I-129F sent area. I hadn't filled it in because I couldn't remember but what I did was I put it as two days before the received date on the NOA1, I figured it'd be close enough. Thanks again.
DongDong
It would be great to get married in July, but I think realistically, August is about right?! She needs to get her feet on the ground anyway and the Embassy in Guangzhou has a say in it too!

However, we are over half way through (hopefully ?) our service center waits!!! And another pint or two helps immensely! whistling.gif

We have booked for the 11th October 2008 in Forest Grove, Oregon!!!! So we left just over a year - will be running it tight enough I'd say as we are expecting RFE!!!!

That's pretty close to mine, both date and place. I'm afraid to jynx it by saying we've "set the date" but we have a lovely place where my parents live in Washington State booked for October 12. Depending when he gets the visa and sells his house, we can push it back if it takes longer than we expect, or we can get legally married as soon as he arrives if it is sooner than we estimate. My boss is an appeals court judge so it would be very easy to plan a very simple wedding in my living room with 6 weeks lead time once his house is under contract, but since my dad can't travel and I got sick and tired of everyone and their 5th cousin asking me when the date was, we are doing this instead.

What is everyone planning for Christmas? I'm going to Edmonton for the week and then driving down to my future sis-in-law's home in Calgary for Christmas and Boxing Day.

How bout u?

About web chats?...we talk online atleast 3 hours everyday
,phonecalls, plus text messaging and emails. First months that were apart was a bit expensive coz we can't afford not to hear from each other but discovered this call-free SKYPE? (www.skype.com). Ever heard of it?...'Twas awesome,....sometimes the connection is SOO difficult that it gets to the nerves but CAN'T really complain coz its a free service....but most of the time The video chat is like just you are talking in the same room....why chat if u can talk..and its free!!! Lol.....now advertising skype here...ty it out....
SonoranSongbird
Aww, I feel really bad for people who can't be with their loves for Christmas. We are at least on the same continent--in fact it would be only 4 hours by plane if there were a direct flight--so we manage to spend at least a long weekend together about once a month. That is bad enough! It also helps that we are only one time zone apart so we can talk on the phone. His parents immigrated to Canada from the UK and his dad had actually wanted to go to New Zealand. If his dad had won that argument, we likely would not have met (we met through a mutual friend in Edmonton), but even if we had, I honestly don't know how we would have managed this long distance part. I really have to admire all of you who are managing that kind of distance.
sweety&baby
Hey everyone,

I will be here with my family for Christmas. I at least have my kids with me to celebrate. I'm looking forward to going to see my sweety in February kicking.gif I'm so excited for that. I'm also hoping for a Feb. approval. We had our NOA1 issued on the 25th of Oct. and Morocco doesn't seem to be getting approvals as fast as the others right now. Not sure why. Maybe people just aren't updating their timelines. I hope to see them moving soon though. I did read someone's review for Morocco and she said that she had no touches at all until the day her NOA2 was issued. I really hope that will be soon. Happy holidays everyone!! smile.gif
Ash_Cypress9507
hi there.....happy for you...atleast your christmas is really MERRY!!!!!Have FUN guys!!!
but anyway NEXT christmasses after this were TOGETHER...yipppeyyyy.. kicking.gif ....speaking of time difference, am 6 hours ahead of my honey...so i sleep late all the time....waahhhhh if papers gets delayed i will be getting the worst ugly eyebags imaginable....LOL... crying.gif

On Christmas were planning our fancy dinner together to celebrate the season...we will be eating together i front of webcams....Lunch for him and Dinner for me.....OLAHHH and felt like were dining still together and have our wine cheers online...and KISS! (flying kisses!)

DISTANCE is such a bitter challenge..but for those who really loves...it makes the relationship even stronger!......its "WORTH" the long wait...... crying.gif

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

I am passing my time by trying to plan the cheapest but elegant wedding ever... its frustrating enough that its extremely time consuming. It doesn't take my mind off the fact that I am lonely and extremely frustrated with this entire process, but it does remind me that end result is well worth it.

Progress Update for us poor CSC'ers.

This on December 10th 2007

"Two August filers got their NOA2's last week, the most recent of which received NOA1 on 2007-08-03 and NOA2 on 2007-12-04. After that July looks pretty much well completed up to the 26th."

These are the numbers for December 28th

July Filers - Countless NOA2s and 44 waiting
August Filers - 26 NOA2 and 43 waiting
September Filers - 1 NOA2 and 33 waiting

Roll on October approvals
