well, you get what I described above, which is the only way as far as I know to track touches, if they're important to you

I could be wrong though; someone else may know better smile.gif

Well, October filers - we are 1 month in (at least here in the UK). Happy November and let's hope for no denials RFE's this month - or ever!!!

Hello October filers! A quick timeline search shows that there are 70 of us who sent off our applications in October. Based on this, it looks like applications did drop off after the fee increase at the end of July. The timeline search shows that 262 people filed for K-1s in July!! It's going to take USCIS a while to get through all those July filers, but after they're done hopefully Aug-Sep-Oct will go fast. It looks like at the moment the fastest approvals are happening in about 120 days, so I guess we can look to start seeing October approvals in February... I'm still holding out hope that things will speed up, supposedly they are using the increased fees to hire more staff and improve the process...we shall see...

It will be interesting to see how we all do on our K1 visa journey. Good luck everyone!
stuartx13
Yes good luck i hope this all go's well for all of us I'm hoping to be making a trip in June to fly back with my baby with here visa in hand.

Hi everybody!

10/04/07 - Mailed
10/10/07 - Recieved (USCIS)
10/14/07 - Money Order Cashed

So really, I often just sit down and cry...

It's been 33 days since USCIS received my I-129F and my check hasn't been cashed and I haven't received any form of anything from them. I haven't moved, I've looked over the copies of the application I made THOUSANDS of times to see if I made some sort of mistake in address, but I haven't...

I called the USCIS hotline today to inquire about my application and they said the deadline for them has been moved to 90 days, not 4 weeks (Even though the automation on the hotline still says 4 weeks). 90 days to process a check!!!!! They guy on the phone nearly had me in tears when he said that. I mean, he was very nice and I know it's not his fault that it's been changed to 90 days... I was a bit rude to him, but apologized in the end and wished him a nice day.

Anyway, so now I'm on to my Congresswoman. Am I wrong? Or is 33 days really too long for someone to take a check to the bank and cash it. They didn't lose the check, right? Or worse, lose my application... If they lose it and I send them a copy, do I get to jump to the beginning of the line? (That would be too much to ask for, right...)

So right now I'm hoping huskiev (or whatever his name was) is right about getting your Representative involved and they will FIND my application!!!!

Good luck to you all!!! And Congratulations to everyone for their NOA1s and touches!!!!!! I haven't been around for awhile; I have been moping and been extremely jealous of everyone else's success... tongue.gif Sorry! But everyone needs some personal time, right? smile.gif

33 days is long enough that I would start to be concerned. I hope that you get it straightened out soon! Sorry that is not very encouraging.

I definitely feel your pain. It's been 48 days for me, no check cashed and I get the same answer: "Call back in 90 days." And what's worse is that when you call back in 90 days, you'll be asked to wait another 30 days for them to finish their "investigation." *sigh*
Brian & Kathy
No need to worry yet. A large number of the people who filed in september don't have NOA1 yet! You are right there with us.

I'm at 40 days now without NOA1 or the check being cashed; It arrived sept 26th.

Hang in there and know you arn't alone.

Ok, now I feel like a whiny baby. I went to my Congresswoman's office today and talked to her assistant person who sent an email to the CSC asking what's up... Later on today... Around 5pm, the check cleared my bank and when I got home from work this evening... I received my paper NOA1.

Now, I know this had absolutely nothing to do with me contacting my Congresswoman... but walking upstairs from the mailroom I couldn't help thinking, "Damn she's good." tongue.gif

Anyway, good luck to everyone out there still waiting!!! Thanks for the words of commiseration and support!!!

I was just looking at your sig. and we received our NOA1's on the same day. But we filed much later than you, October 27th. It's interesting to see how differently each service center gets things out. Good luck to all of the other Octobers!
SonoranSongbird
I wonder if whoever you talked to on the phone really did go look for the application in spite of telling you they couldn't. It was not whiny to call to check even if it was a pure coincidence. I'm glad they finally cashed it. I hope they gave you an early October receipt date.

I hope Moxcamel and Brian and Kathy get yours soon, too.

Don't feel bad at all. Even though it probably didn't affect your case, just getting a Congressperson involved applies even more pressure to push USCIS into getting their act together. You did good! good.gif

BTW, my check was cashed yesterday and showed up in my online statement today. I was *this* close to getting my own congressman involved.

I thought I may as well get this one started. I sent my I-129F package yesterday, October 1 to the VSC. Let's hope the timelines start getting a little quicker with USCIS.

One more for October!! I just made it in by sending my I-129F on October 23rd... Received NOA1 through snail mail November 2nd. It states it was processed October 26th 2007. On the website the last update was 11/01/2007... is that what you guys consider to be "touched"?

Now the wait begins... i check that website with my EAC number everyday... no changes as of yet...

Anyone else's severvice center ... VERMONT?

Hello, I just got a response from them 10/10/07 with the receipt notices. Then I got my biometrics notice dated 10/14, for appointment on 11/3/07, After which I got a request for my medical, so if you have not done that, I suggest you get it done, so you have it on hand when they request. I am awaiting my EAD. Good luck

I didn't think this applies to those of us who filed the I-129F... am I wrong?

Also, Congrats to everyone who filed their paperwork and got NOA1s!!! I wonder how long the glow of having the check cashed and the NOA1 received will last... I had made pseudo timeline of each milestone based on the information provided here on VJ and the projected date for the NOA1 was about 2 weeks after filing... it took 30days and I was about to have a fit... I wonder if my limit is twice the amount of time it should take based on the past data...

So that gives me what... 'till the end of June to receive our NOA2 before I should start going crazy... No chance! tongue.gif It'll be January 13 and I'll start climbing the walls!!! (I get back from visiting Nik on the 12th smile.gif)

Oh well, Good Luck everyone!!!

From the way they processed the April/May petitions it seemed that they used the date they signed for it rather than the NOA1 date which was good for me since it took one month for them to send me an NOA1.
StillThePrettiest
we posted our petition on the 18th of July; it went to Vermont, and then to California, and the NOA1 STILL says July 19 smile.gif
we received it about two weeks later; the website says it was sent on the 27th

Hi everyone, just found the tread. We are October filers and wish all of you the best of luck!

By the way. For those of you that filed with the VSC, does it seem they are processing more NOA2s? Maybe I am looking at this wrong....

July - 23 NOA2s
Aug - 19 NOA2s
Sept - 9 NOA2s
Oct - 20 NOA2s
Nov - 28 NOA2s through November 12, 2007

I sure hope that extra 200 employees at the VSC are paying some dividends!

ST. ALBANS CITY –– St. Albans received a major economic boost today with the announcement that as many as 300 federal jobs will be added to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service Center’s (USCIS) Vermont facilities, 200 of them in St. Albans.

http://www.samessenger.com/index.php?optio...iew&id=1773

It is my understanding, the new employees will be helping with the backlog for not only for the VSC but the other three service centers as well. This just took place so I would be sure it will take awhile for them to be trained. Hopefully they will help with some of this backlog of July and August filers and we can see some improvement in the timelines. That is my hope, but only time will tell.
sweety&baby
We are really hoping that these new employees speed things along, as all of you are. The waiting sucks!! I don't know why, but we've been together for over a year and have waited for so many things, but this wait is the hardest. I just hope everything goes smooth and we'll be together soon. Is anyone else going crazy yet? wink.gif

Also, I have tried several times to add one of those countdown sigs to my posts and I can't figure it out. Any advice? Thanks

I believe they will process the petition in the order received going by the receipt date they list in the NOA1.

Whether you consider yourself an "October filer" or "November filer" isn't really critical. I would say the day your fiance sent it is the day you filed it, which makes you an October filer, but you should probably check in with both the October and November threads since the people whose petitions are closest in time to yours are the people who filed both at the end of October and the beginning of November.

Good luck! good.gif

By the way, does anyone know if CSC has hired additional employees as well? Laguna Niguel is an awfully pretty place, so if they are hiring and you all know anyone looking for a job.......
Osakeme
Hi all, I have been waiting and I am running out of steam....... This process should move faster especially with the extra money it costs....... I hope these employees start soon and get the process moving.
Eli the Barrowboy
Let's hope we get a good update on the CSC Processing Times page - let's hope we get a Six Months up there rather than the (possible) May 12th!!!
