Yeah! My mum has land over there somewhere and most of my aunts have retired there now!

We learnt the nasty words as a last resort as them St Lucian men really don't like to take no for an answer. haha!

My SO hopes we get to go over there at some point soon.

But geez!! I'll be staying in a hotel in Castries next time and not with family. lol. As much as i love them, I just didn't get a minutes peace....

I mean, surely if i wanted a mango i could just go buy one rather than go pick one in 100% heat........hahahaaha!

It would be great if you and your SO can get over there soon. My SO and I want to renew our vows there in a couple of years so we can share the happy occasion with both our families.

RFE Problems

I received a RFE on 02/19/2008 and responded on 02/20/2008. On 02/22/2008 received email notice saying that the document was received. Since then I have 3 touches in a row on the 25th, 26th and 27th. After that nothing no update or anything. I have called twice and no one can tell me anything but that my case is under review. Has anyone had a similar experience.

Hello Guys....just wanna extend our joy to all october filers...
After NOt getting our Packet 3 in mail...and making the initiative of sending them back the Packet 3 documents we gathered through research here in VJ...IT WORKED!!!!finally received our Packet 4 Today and scheduled for interview on the 25th of March!!!!! So happy and counting the days now to see my honey again after the long wait....

Being here on VJ helped ease a bit the waiting time and not to mention the GREAT infos that helped a lot!

To all who are still waiting, hang on in there!...our prayers are with you...Keep your hopes high, this journey will come to an end SOON!!!

Hello all October filers...we got approved on February 29. I checked the USCIS website this morning and I got a touch the status is still pending. How ever I was so happy when got home today found out the hard copy of approval is in the mail. The best to all October filers haven't got their NOA2, hope everyone will get approve soon.

Wow, EmpressM do you know I never realized that you had been approved and waiting for packet 3. I would have given you advice. My advice to anyone in the caribbean dealing with this process is DO NOT WAIT. Take it in your own hands, and send them what is needed. Now that youve finally gotten the packet, make sure you do not use Snail Mail, I would use DHL since it seems like that is their preferred carrier. Also make sure to follow up once the packet is received because your interview date can sail right past you waiting for your appointment letter in the mail.

I will post a thread a lil later detailing my experience at the Bridgetown embassy for you two ladies.

Thanks for asking. The interview went. lol. not so well though. It wasnt difficult, and overall the process was pretty straight forward, but we pretty much ended with an RFE. He had to send some more info, which was sent to them the next day, so hopefully by next week (if they are finally satisfied) he should have his visa in hand. It was all pretty well, just a little disheartening to have to leave after all of that without the visa in hand.

Congratulations to VKOL for the NOA2 and to Lucy4 (because I'm assuming the visa was granted...).

Sorry to hear you guys ended with an RFE. I hope you guys hear from them soon and that your fiance gets his visa asap. I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know when your SO gets the visa so we can do the dance for you.

thanks babes. The visa was not granted, but after sending them some more info by dhl, hopefully by the end of next week he will have it in hand.

my word of advice, make sure BOTH parents names are listed on his birth certificate. He had to send them an updated BC, and also his old passport. He didnt have that with him, so we sent them out DHL the following day.

I was thinking about sending the documents in without waiting any longer for them and around that time is when they finally arrived... My fiance mailed packet three back this morning via DHL it will be there by tomorrow morning. I will make sure to follow up with them about the interview because I was afraid of that exact thing; us not getting packet four until after the interview date.

I will be waiting for that post, any help at all will be greatly appreciated!
