Hi,

Quick question about the DS-230 form. Question 25 asks "List dates of all previous visits to or residence in the United States. (If never, write "never") Give type of visa status, if known. Give DHS "A" number if any."

Does this question mean EVERY visit to the US I have ever done. I ask this as I have been countless times, some of which I have no idea when because the stamps were in my old passport. Also every time I have visited I have visited under the VWP, so if I do have to decale all visits shall I write VWP for the visa used or is there a special number for the VWP.

We asked USCIS about this. We were told they were checking to see if the beneficiary had ever overstayed a visit. Because I was in the same situation, I entered "Numerous times but none beyond 3 weeks", which was the maximum amount of time I'd spent on a visit to the U.S. (For Canadians the maximum amount of time allowed in the US is six months. For VWP countries it's 3 months.)
