Hey everyone..

We're thinking of going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Anyone know if this would pose any problems? Thx!

Provided that you don't stage through another country, it will not be a problem.

As someone who lives in Hawaii, and will be bringing my fiancee here, via Honolulu as her POE, I can assure you that Hawaii is still considered part of the United States (number 50 to be exact!!!) laughing.gif

YES, you can come here, and maybe by the time you get here, we will have recovered from all the flood damage we had in the last two months!

Will you be flying directly here from Canada, or from a "mainland" destination?

If you're coming from the mainland, you will not go through immigration or customs. You will only need ID to get through the airport security.

If you are coming here for your honeymoon, won't that be AFTER you receive your K-1 visa?

You should be fine! I am going to Hawaii on a belated honeymoon in 1 month and still do not have my AOS. It's classed as US territory so just fly directly there and back - there is no passport control. Most Americans who go there do not have a passport!!!

laughing.gif You guys crack me up!!!

HAWAII IS PART OF THE US!!! NO Americans require a passport to come here, unless coming here from oustside the US (note I avoided the phrase "overseas"! wink.gif )!!!

Unless you fly here from outside the US, you will NOT go through immigration or customs! yes.gif

Shouldn't be any problems as long as you are flying, I am not sure if you take a cruise.
