I am at loss as to how I should proceed.

I sent in the I-130 on Saturday August 25 by FedEx and it arrived in Vermont on Monday August 27.

As of today, 5 weeks later, I have not received any notification at all. They have not cashed my check.

I wish I had simultaneously filed the I-129F but I was going to wait for the receipt.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what actions I can take?

Hi neil,

Have you called USCIS - if you haven't you should, if you already have, what did they tell you?

The same here. Vermont is extremely slow in sending out NOA1 for I-130. I sent out mine at the Beginning of Sept., heard nothing from them so far. No receipt nor check Being cashed. Very frustrating.

I just got off the phone with USCIS and they can't tell me anything. He told me that the USCIS has a backlog because of the fee increase at July 31 and the expected wait could be as high as 90 days.

I think that is a load of crap because, if that actually were the case, then he would have known that immediately. It also would be nice if they put that on the website.
