CAN I CRY OUT LOUD HERE????????????????????

WE DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT TO DO KNOW... WE GOT A BAD NEWS RIGHT NOW...MY DAD'S FIANCE IS NOT GOING TO CO-SPONSOR US BECAUSE SOMEBODY IS TRYING TO STOP HIM TO DO IT.

MY FIANCE STOP WORKING JULY OF THIS YEAR AND HE ALSO EARNED HIS DEGREE. RIGHT NOW HE DOESN'T HAVE A JOB AND WE ALREADY HAVE OUR SCHEDULE FOR MEDICAL AND INTERVIEW.

WHAT ARE THE BEST THING THAT WE NEED TO DO?DO WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE IT?OR JUST GO TO THE INTERVIEW??? WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES AND ASSURANCE WE CAN GET IF WE GO OR RESCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT?

PLEASE HELP US.............. crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif

WHAT IS THE NUMBER TO BE CALLED IF I WILL RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

I am sorry for you. There is a a forum somewhere that lists the different embassies and you might be able to find the number there to change the interview date.

But the main issue is having a FINANCIAL SPONSOR. Your fiance "stopped" working in July? Why?

Since your Dad's (your father-in-law?) future wife does not feel comfortable sponsoring you, you must have your fiance find a new job quickly. Then he can file an affidavit of support.

Being a joint sponsor or co sponsor is a big responsibility. The person who does this is basically saying they will take care of you for years to come if you become financially incapabable of taking care of yourself.

Good suggestions as to your fiance hopefully finding another job quickly, even a temp assignment?

If you go ahead with your interview, they can complete everything but will give you a 221G if your sponsor doesn't meet the requirements (your fiance still has to fill out the sponsorship, even if you have a co-sponsor). You know that assets can be used to make up the difference if your fiance's income is not enough. For example, if your income is short by $10,000, you need 5 times that amount in assets or $50,000. For the I-134, your sponsor/co-sponsor needs to make at least 100% of the poverty level (or have appropriate assets).

Just to clarify, for the I-134 it is a 3 year commitment (the I-864 is longer) and it is not that the sponsor agrees to support the alien, it is that the sponsor agrees to pay back the U.S. government if the alien received some kind of public assistance, like food stamps, welfare, etc. There is another law though, that makes any alien ineligible to receive any of this kind of assistance for at least 5 years from their lawful entry. So, it isn't as big a commitment as it seems at the start.

Perhaps others can give more ideas on how Manila handles rescheduling interviews, if you go that route.

My fiance stopped working July due to the conflict between school and work. He was graduating that time and it so happened that his supervisor won't allow him to be absent on that certain date because nobody can take place but since he need to be in school to take final test and if not he will fail so he opted to go to school and lost his job. He earned his degree in Associates in Science in Respiratory Care.

Well, we don't have the right to be disappointed to my future father-in-law if he doesn't want to be our co-sponsor because its going to be a big responsibility and we understand him and his wife.

We hope that my fiance can get a job this week...sad.gif

If ever my fiance can get a job within this week and for sure he can't send me pay stubs yet (it will take another week to get his pay stubs) because I need employer certification it as soon as possible before my Nov interview, is it ok??

Whats 221G?He doesn't have any assets. He just graduated college. I get what you mean. I agree with you
lostinfrance
Could you ask your father to lend you what you need to qualify for the I-864? You could put it into an account in your name, print out the bank statement right before your interview, then, as soon as you can, get the money back to him.

If your father doesn't have enough to lend, can you ask several members of your family to chip in?

I know it's difficult asking for money but if you can SHOW the Embassy that the money is available in a bank account that belongs to you, they will not check to see if the money is still there one week later.

Good luck.
