At 8AM I didn't expect to find noone here yet...

Hope everyones having a great weekend! Dinners at my house tonight so I have to think to something different. I'm considering a killer fajita spread this time. I haven't offered mexican to these guests before so I don't really know how that will get recieved...sounds good to me tho.

I used to have these 2 flags in my signature, but now I see them each as red X. Can you guys see them? I haven't messed with my sig at all so I don't know why they'd be messed up.

So George went to the ministry today....he got there at 9AM and already in front of him were 150 other people,hot dang!! its rush time because of EID coming and they will be closing for 10 days. so he called me at 130pm and there was 50 in front of him still, i told him you need to work, he said he had 1hr still and he may go a little late...mind u he isnt even wearing his work clothes......so im like okay...............i think ok ill go lay back down, its 230 now, he calls me and tells me he is just leaving, to go to work. They gave me 2 more months on my visa, and he can extend it one more time for 2mths. So we are going to work on getting my residency now, so i am able to come and go without entry visa's. So it looks like ill be headed to NY in Jan, the count down thats on my siggy. Its good to have some idea of whats going on. so for now i can relax a little.

Happy Sunday to everyone - tomorrow is October and hopefully this month will bring w/it more good news for all - - on a hysterical funny note - my sister-in-law who is a beautiful dancer is visiting from Nicaragua and attempting to teach me the Samba and some other dance moves..she taught me the basic steps of the salsa....we are having a good time though....anyways..hope everyone has a great day!!

I'm coming down with a cold (already?) I think I'll bundle up and have some tea and edit some old videos. (I'm kind of in the middle of a huge project to archive all my old home videos off VHS or 8MM and get them onto DVD just in case the tapes wear out...some of these videos are over 20 years old.)

No word yet on whether my grandmother will have that second surgery, but things are still looking up

I've been so lazy I should be ashamed - It's been storming since about midnight and I stayed in bed until I just couldn't do it anymore (about noon). I just hope I can sleep tonight I start my new job tomorrow!

windy and storming here. was mowing the yard yesterday and kept getting a facefull of grass clippings due to the high wind. i thought i'd finish it today but the wind is even higher

Woke up at 10, went back to sleep and woke up again at 1:30. I'm a lazy bum. My body is sore though so I think I'm in a flare up. Aside from a couple of loads of laundry and food shopping I'm not going to do a darn thing except watch Lifetime tv.

Happy Sunday everybody! I have been debating this week with my husband about finding a job in Egypt. I found a couple of openings that we agreed on.

The stupid embassy is taking forever, so I want to get out of the house and do something. It's so frustrating because I don't know how much longer we will be here.

Plus, my mom is sick and I might have to fly home to sit with her for several months(which will completely devastate my husband and probably make us all a little suicidal). We are waiting on her test results to see if she is getting any better.

So, if I don't go home to be with my mother, I will be getting a job.

Hello everyone,

I always wonder if I am like the only one lost pathetic soul that actually is looking forward to Monday - can't help it but I love my job.

Jamal is still in Morocco and I was looking forward to some alone time and guess what my mother decided to pay me a visit - I just can't get a break lol

Also, I decided to take some classes at a community college to keep me busy on Saturdays when Jamal is working. My work offers tuition reimbursements so I got to take advantage of it.

I am taking "Advanced writing" and "Stress and intonation" both ESL classes but I know that I will benefit from them great deal in preparation for grad school.

Hope that everyone is doing ok and I am praying that we will see some seriously overdue action in Casa, Cairo and Amman..

So here is my big surprise for my hubby. Let's just say I don't really LOVE Ramadan, I don't really feel this huge spiritual connection mostly because I can't even hug my husband all day, I starve and am sleep deprived - yay not so spiritual. Aaaanyway, so he's at work now until 11 and yesterday when he was out I went and bought some taper candles and crystal candle holders, new tablecloth etc. So tonight I made this uber gourmet meal for when he gets home and he has no idea. I made a mushroom alfredo lasagna, garlic green beans, a garlic and pepper crusted sirloin filet, various butters (paprika, avocado and pumpkin) and a yogurt, garlic, potato dip, with fresh hot french bread, and mini ghiradellhi chocolate bundt cakes with coffee/chocolate gnache. I think he'll be surprised!! 15 more minutes!

I'm gonna need one of these - did you make this? I have a bundt pan. Please tell more about this.

I didn't get the fajitas made last night. H wanted arabic food and I caved. It was good and all, but I had geared up my palate for fajitas. Oh well, next time.

Yay! Jess won!!! I can't wait until the reunion show next week. I wonder if Heather will show up.

OMG when Heather walked out for the final elimination with that dress and that hair! And she thought there was no way he could turn her down looking so "hot". LOLOLOL absolutely hilarious. Very glad Jes won, although I think she could do better!

Looking forward to an all out brawl at the reunion, involving Lacey I'm sure.

I was cracking up over her huge hair and canary yellow dress. Does she not know she looks like a drag queen? I agree, Jess can do better. She had the most class out of any of those ppl, including Bret.

I hated Lacey from the beginning but I do hope she starts some crap on the reunion show. I'm also anxious to see if Bret and Jess are still "together".
