Hey guys does anyone know why the fees have been increased? Looking at the graphs it surely seems like right after that happened, everything slowed down...

Maybe they are too busy counting money!!

I dunno ... nothing makes much sense to me ...also there is this thing about first come first serve...then why are some june filers approved before early may filers...so confusing

The fee increases were done to pay for the weekly party they throw on Friday...yes Friday. That is why we never see approvals on this day. The party usually goes from Friday through Sunday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are scheduled "rest and relaxation days" to recover from the weekly party. Thursday is approval day.

Yes. That makes sense now. They need their rest because of heavy partying. We should all be thankful that they perform a little work on Thursdays at least.

generally, this is still correct (ie that petitions are processed in the order in which they were received)
petitions are expedited if one of the parties is active in the military, and about to be deployed; or in case of proven USCIS error; or if one of the parties is from a particular country, one of which is Cuba (I see you've started another thread on that issue )
the June file I think you're referring to is darkhorse, who could prove USCIS error on his original file, back in March (they gave him the wrong filing information and caused his petition to be rejected), so they expedited his second submission (or something like that; I'm a bit hazy on the details)

and yeah: four more CSC approvals today! which won't stop the stale old jokes about 'they don't do any work', but anyway
