Heya,
I'm filling out the G325 for the spousal visa for me (US citizen) and my husband (brasilian). It asks for Residence and Employment in the last 5 years, but we both lived in New Zealand for a while and moved around a LOT and switched jobs a LOT. I was on a work holiday visa for 1 year and my husband worked illegally for 2 years, but he left of his own accord and nothing was proved of his having worked illegally and he's got a clean police record from New Zealand.
My doubt is what do I write down for the months that I was traveling around? I stayed in hostels for short periods of time, and so I'm not sure if for this time I should list "no residence" or list "traveling". Do they really want to know every address that I lived at in the last 5 years?
Another thing, I didn't claim the income that I earned in New Zealand for taxes when I did my taxes in the U.S., and I read in my passport that if I didn't have Permanent Residence status in New Zealand then I should have claimed my income for tax purposes in the U.S. So, question is, should I write down my employers from New Zealand, don't list them or try and do a back-pay of the taxes I owe on the income I earned in New Zealand. If I write down my employers from New Zealand and they see that I didn't claim any income from New Zealand employers, will I be disqualified for "tax-evasion" or something like that? It's not like I was earning big bucks--I was working in cafe's and restaurants casually.
And for my husband--should he list his employer in New Zealand if he didn't have a work visa?
thanks!
