Hi There,

So I finally received my biometrics appt. letter (NOA2?).

It's for 26th of this Month. It'd be a massive bonus for me if I could get it done earlier. My local ASC office where my appt. has been scheduled is Detroit.

Do you think it would be possible for me to try and arrange to get an earlier appointment if I call the ASC office directly (and not mail the form back)? Has anyone been successful in doing this?

Thanks

I have not heard of anyone doing anything like that. If anything maybe they will let you move it back. Is there a specific reason you would like to move it ahead (haveing your biometrics done before probably will not speed up the processing).

There are instructions on the appointment letter that you need to follow if you can not attend your scheduled appointment. When you re-schedule a biometrics appointment it will probably drop you back 6 to 8 weeks, depending on how busy your local office is.

My understanding is that they send you the first available date at your local office. I would very much doubt that you could move it forward at all.

My now wife and her son had biometric appointments one day after the other. I called about rescheduling for the same day. They told me if I want to reschedule it would put me at the end of the line. They suggested they both show up on the first appointment to see if the local office would do the both of them at the same time eventhough only one had an appointment. It worked out great. If you have a reasonalbe reason why you need any earlier appointment, think positive and try it on a walk-in basis. The worst they can say is NO!
