Does K3 and CR-1 has same processing time at VNC?? or it really depends to where your benificiary resides ?? ( my wife is in India )

For my state I have to sent I-130 to CSC and for U.S. Citizens both i-130 and i-129F has the same processing time
(I sent I-130 last month with $190 instead of $355 fee …. I am waiting for the reject package)
Seems like there are more process for a CR-1 at NVC than for K-3 ….?? Does anybody know any timelines ?

No. They don't. My info is in my signature. I've gotten an approval on I-130, no word except "received" for the I-129F. I130 approval means: about 6 months+ to go until possibility of a visa.

No, K3 stays about 1 week at NVC, CR1 about 3-4 months.

The "spouse" there is a typo, right? I am guessing you meant to write "fiance(e)". K3 doesn't normally take a whole year. The CR1/IR1 for a spouse can take about a year though. That's in total, guesstimated time - I don't know about the time at NVC.

No, if he is filling for a spouse, K1 is definitively NOT the correct visa. He can fill CR1/IR1 and (if he wants) K3.

now K3 is like $1010 to change status once my spouse landed in U.S ... but both 129F and i-130 gets approved at the same amount of time( 6 months roughly) . still don't have a full grasp on how long K3 takes in NVC Vs CR1

A K3 normally takes 5 to 10 working days to pass through NVC. An IR1/CR1 takes from 3 to 6 months on average. When using James's shortcut the average is closer to 3 months.
