Your one better than me, I got 3.
Welcome to America! smile.gif

So it seems like everyone gets a minimum of 2 x the welcome letter - how many people immigrate to the U.S. each year? How much does that cost in postage and paper/envelopes/machinery/personnel.

I believe it was something like 22,000 Canadians go to the US every year. I could be very wrong but that number stands out off the top of my head for some reason.

Lovin it.. (dont miss Alberta, think I was over it and the weather ) ..Great folks here, being treated very well,

Things that are different.

Health care cost ( of coarse ), Banks are behind Canada, Taxes and things costs less .. esp with Dollar near equal..

Many churches, folks are very tied to their church lifes..Then there is Football ... Friday, (high school) Sat. (Colledge), Sunday (Pro's) and of coarse Monday Night games..

There sure is a better selection here... If Wal-mart doesnt have it you dont need it.. haha

(You can buy guns in Wal-mart !!)

Been above 80 F since I left Alberta.. very dry and yet humid..

I am Blending in ( as in Rome, as they say) they love my accent .. "" my accent""..

Any way alls well...

Happy journey all.

Colin

Trust me, y'all have accents! wink.gif

And Derek got like 4 welcome letters too. At first I was excited thinking his green card had come really early. By the 4th one, I was like typical $%&* government wasting the taxpayer's $$$.

Anyway, congrats Colin!

Well as a rough guesstimate - based on the info I could find "In 2006, 1,266,264 people were granted legal permanent resident status" and based on .41 cents for a letter to be sent - the postage alone for 1 additional welcome for each is about 1/2 a million.

Well, they probably get a bulk mail government rate, but still. Yikes!
