Hi guys,

It's been a while since I've read these forums and even more since I've posted anything. Been kinda busy, plus I just had a baby and stuff. smile.gif

Anyway, I've been trying to search for some old posts about calling the USCIS and going through the RFE line and stuff, but I can't seem to find them. I know this has been discussed before, but my question is, when should one call USCIS for an update on one's case? I know the website says you can call if you're out of regular processing times, but I know in reality one can call sooner, correct?

My wife's case hasn't had a touch since mid-june, which, by reading posts on here, I know can be normal. My mother got her residency recently and she says she called USCIS and the guy she spoke to gave her pretty good info and it may have even gotten things rolling.

As per my timeline, is it too soon to call the USCIS to find out what's going on? Should I call and find out if maybe I have an RFE?

Thanks in advanced! Good luck to everyone specially my fellow colombians and spouses!

Recent reports of K-3 approvals appear to be solidly April filed cases....

Never hurts to call and ask about your case smile.gif

Aprils are just getting started, still some March filers waiting. It is still a little early to call.

I second that, my timeline is almost identical to the OPs and I am not expecting to hear anything from USCIS for at least another month, possibly a month and a half. CSC are dragging these out to the very last day sad.gif Sad, but it's turning out to be true sad.gif

It looks like it has just been stopped the whole process,we check everyday to see if anything has changed but before they used to give us an estimate of the time in the comments ,but now it just says there is not enought data to tell you when they are going to even see the papers.

Because I know if something is going on with your case something is going to happen with ours the timeline couldn't be more similar we got married with 10 days of diference .

By the way congratulations for the new baby I hope is healthy and doing ok ,it is a blessing.
