There is a topic here already that deals with April filers from NVC to Interview. So I decided to put a topic like this one because I think there have been several approvals from April and May filers. Post your NOA2 dates to NVC so we can get a good picture how long it takes now between NOA2 to NVC. It usually just takes a week or two, but I think now it takes about a month or so..those who have NOA2 alreayd and still waiting for NVC post here and also once your case arrived at NVC.
Your feedback would be much appreciated..thanks..

My NOA2 was 8/29 and I received a hard copy a week later. But NVC still has not received my case today. Also, when I checked online and called the automated status line with USCIS, my case is still pending with "On May 21, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice...."

We received our NOA2 on 27th August but haven't heard from NVC yet. I have been checking other timelines and for most people that fill them in it seems to take a month to get from USCIS to NVC at the moment.

Hey guys,
NOA2 on September 19th. I actually just called NVC (I know, wishful thinking) and of course they haven't received my petition yet. The person I talked to was NOT very friendly. I guess customer service does not get any better with this process! I had to call 6 or 7 times to actually speak with someone too. Oh well, eventually it will get there!
BTW, my status online at USCIS still says I am pending too, but I got that hard copy in my hot little hands! I'm just glad to have one step done. On to the next!
kits, I really, really hope you get your approval this week. I can't believe how long they are making you wait. I read your story and I think, wow, you have such a strong case. I can't believe they gave you an RFE. But keep the faith, you will get approved and you will be with your love. I know how unbearable this has been for you, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I am praying you will get your good news by the end of this week.

These are our dates:
NOA2-August 15
NVC Notice-September 12
Package 3-Still waiting
I have a question, the date on the NVC notice is the date when the package was received at the NVC right? But how do you know the date when it was sent from the NVC to the Consulate? Do you have to call to find out?

Thank you Musicgirl0912.. Yes I was really surprised that they wanted more evidence since we have known each other since childhood. It's not like the usual case where I met her when I went back home like a year or two and asked her to marry me. And when I sent the requested evidence I was really hoping to get my NOA2 soon. But I guess my officer who is handling our case is either just too busy or could be slow. Whatever the reason maybe I wish he/she may see that TRUE LOVE exists between me and my fiancee.. just give me my NOA2 please please... so that you don't have to work on them anymore officer.. so you can get rid our case and start on others heheheh..

I seriously don't get it....why does it take so long to mail the petitions? I mean the NOA2 states the USCIS is done with our cases...okay so mail it already!!! As if 140+ days isn't long enough, they make us wait some more. Grrrrr

I called NVC today and they told me they didn't have our case in their system. I then called USCIS to find out when they would be sending our case and was told by a polite woman that our case had in fact been mailed to NVC on 9/13. However, due to the volume of cases they receive, it may not be in their system yet. She further stated they have crates of cases for all types of visas and it may take up to 3 weeks to get to a case. Then it will need to be assigned a number and put into a jacket prior to being sent to the embassy. So, it's very possible our cases could be sitting at NVC but just haven't been put into the system yet.
We're getting there! I'm just happy the USCIS part of this process is over!
Looking up!

Hey guys,
I'm sure like most of us here, I've been thinking about what I need to get for my fiance's interview. I have a question about the Affidavit of Support. Does anyone know how recent the documents need to be? For instance, the paystubs, the bank statements, etc. I wanted to get some of my things ready to send to Romania, but I didn't want them to be outdated.

I just got off the phone talking with CSC about sending approved petition onto NVC. I had a pleasant conversation with the rep, although at first she had me on a long hold but she did apologize later. I’ve confirmed our approved I-129F case is still at CSC collecting dust because the mail service contractor at CSC is running two weeks behind schedule. However, the officer said the piled up cases should be in transit within the next two weeks. She advised me to call CSC in two weeks time to confirm the case is not at CSC anymore before calling NVC. So there goes it...... safe to conclude USCIS don't mind if customers call them as long as they have a valid reason. Also, she did indicate that once USCIS approves a petition, USCIS don't have anything to do with the case anymore. Approved petitions are immediately passed onto (mail service contractor) who in turn delivers mail to their various destinations for next stage processing . Tongue in cheek, I told the officer USCIS should hire another mail servicing company to do their mails since the current contractor is under performing big time thus making USCIS look bad. Hopefully, this little update will ease the minds of all filers with NOA-2 and waiting to hear from NVC. Cheers!!

It could be that your case was updated correctly and Arinola's wasn't...I've had that experience with my case. If I call USCIS and use the automated system, it still says my case is pending, even though I was approved on the 19th. I called on Monday and talked to someone at USCIS and they didn't know I was approved! I called back and spoke with someone at CSC who confirmed we were approved, and then told me they were having problems updating the system. So who knows, maybe one of the reps didn't have the correct information on their screen. It doesn't make sense that yours would be at NVC and Arinola's wasn't....I would think theirs should be at the NVC too. But that's assuming of course that anything the USCIS does makes logical sense, which we know isn't true.
It sucks, but unfortunately we all just have to sit patiently and wait. UGH I am tired of being patient!!!

Hi Laurel,
I did a forum search and it appears that the notarized I-134 will be valid for 1 year. Check out this thread:

I have made copies of my 2006 W-2's, my 2006 tax return, and ordered and received my 2002-2005 tax transcripts from the IRS. It is my understanding that you don't need to provide bank statements if your income level meets the poverty line criteria; however, you may wish to perform a forum search and/or ask your questions in the Foreign Embassy and Consulate General Discussion Forum.

his work truly begins. He seems dazed by the medicals.
I just started a new job this week so I am still 'fuzzy' on my financials for the I-134 so I must do some research to see what I need. I informed my employer of what I would be needing from them, and they seemed cool. Now to locate tax records and such *sigh* I'm so nervous!
Good luck everyone!

We have the same approval date, most likely they will arrive in the same batch. I did call NVC today and according to the lady I spoke to, our petition has not arrived. She said it should be there any time now. I'm anxious to get past this step and move on with the process. The unknown is what kills us. If we had appointments or dates to go by, at least we can look forward to it. But this open ended deal is awful.

Also, I have their number but not their email address? Can anyone tell me the correct email address to use to ask them about my case?

She said it should be there any time now. I'm anxious to get past this step and move on with the process. The unknown is what kills us. If we had appointments or dates to go by, at least we can look forward to it. But this open ended deal is awful.
I also received my NOA2 on 9/10 and I'm sure we're all in the same batch. I've resolved to calling NVC only once a week. I chose Thursdays so I'll be calling tomorrow night. You never know the difference one day can make. We'll see! Tomorrow may be our day for some movement!

Hi..I got approved October 1 but got the CRIS email the next day. Should I wait for another touch to know that USCIS has sent it to NVC? Also, will NVC email me or send me a mail telling me my MANILA CASE NUMBER or they don't do this and I just have to give them a call like once a week? Thank you.
Also, I have their number but not their email address? Can anyone tell me the correct email address to use to ask them about my case?
Hey kits,
The email address for NVC is NVCINQUIRY@state.gov but they take forever to answer you back. I sent a message last Tuesday and still haven't heard anything yet.

I just hope and pray that everyone gets their petition to NVC very fast!!!

Confirmed NVC has received our file today. However, it has not been entered into their computer in order to generate our new case # with NVC. I was advised to check back next week.

Congrats, Arinola! Hopefully they will get your file entered and you will be outta the NVC in no time since it took so long for them to receive the petition.
Good luck!
