Do both the foreign spouse and the US citizen go for the biometrics appt? Or is it just the foreign spouse?

Thanks!

Biometrics is always done for the visa-applicant/holder/greencard applicant/holder i.e. generally the foreign spouse.
The US citizen does not have to do biometrics.

Petitioner [USC] isn't required to go.

Biometrics are for the person adjusting status, not the US citizen. The US Citizen does not even have to go to the biometrics appointment.

Please update your profile, you are not filing for N/A, and foreign country is not N/A, and local office is not N/A.

It helps everyone get your complete picture if you at least take the time to fill in the details.

It is just for the foreign spouse.

I have my appointment tomorrow.

In Alexandria, Virginia they no longer allow the USC to even sit in the waiting area while the fingerpriting and picture taking is being conducted. The plus from this is that I noticed a lot less chaos in the room and my wife was in and out in less than 20 minutes. The rules may vary office to office but just a heads up, this was a change since we did AOS.
