Hi guys,

Well, to my extreme disappointment today I received a Packet 3 sort of letter, which was a huge shock since we filed through the NVC and not through London. We should have just received Packet 4 with the interview date, info for the medical and such (like Andy2006 and SayWhat). But for some reason I get a letter asking us to gather the needed information and how to set the medical. But that's all there was in the envelope. There was no checklist. There was no other forms or lists of what I needed to gather. Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that the embassy has very recently and mysteriously started doing things a little differently. It's a very good sign that they did not send you the checklist or DS-230 Part or request that you return anything. My pretty confident guess is that you will receive another separate letter with the interview date without having done anything else.

I finally called the London "extortion line" and spoke to a guy who couldn't figure out why I had gotten that letter. He did tell me that an interview has been scheduled for us on October 18th at 9:30am. So there ya go! We got an interview date now! He reckons we should get our letter anyday and the other was just a mistake! hehe

I am coming behind you my case was sent to the London embassy on September 19, 2007 and I am waiting for an interview date from them, I am not sure how to call "EXTORTION LINE" could you plz let me know how to contact?

07/18/07 - Mailed IV bill back via overnight mail.
07/20/07 - I-864 received via snail mail
07/23/07 - Mailed I-864 via overnight mail.
07/28/07 - Payment for IV bill entered into the system
08/06/07 - DS-230 generated.
08/15/07 - Received DS-230 coversheet via snail mail.
08/24/07 - Mailed DS-230 packet to NVC via overnight mail (didn't use James' shortcuts).
08/29/07 - DS-230 info entered in NVC's system.
09/11/07 - CASE COMPLETED!!! THANK GOD
