Hi Guys this is a quick question and Im a little bit worried..

I was suppose to send my I-751 on September 8th and we completely forgot we thought that we should have send it by October 8th but my card expired December 8th.
you think that will be any trouble since I miss my dateline by 20 - 25 days ?
can I get rejected ?

Thanks.

No need to worry. you should file within the 90 day period before your card expires. If your card expires December 8 you filed in time. My wife's green card expires November 16 but we sent in the I-751 last Monday.

There's no requirement to file exactly 90 days before the card expires. You can file I-751 one week before your card expires and it's still gonna be okay.

Thanks for that. We have been having so much fun this summer, renovating our house and riding, that we didn't get it sent until today. I thought my green card expired at the end of October, but it expires on October 3rd. We managed to get it all in, and sent today. Will arrive at NSC by noon tomorrow. I hope we made it in time as I have two jobs, and want to go to Canada for Thanksgiving next month!

Yea, the 90 day thingy is so the USCIS will have time to issue you an extension. Good luck with the process good.gif
