Hey peepz.... we have all our stuff ready to rumble and are headed to MTL tomorrow morning. We are not taking the laptop with us, so won't be able to do much posting until we get back, hopefully approved, pack the trailer and get settled for a few days at Sarah's until visa gets there. WHATEVER HAPPENS, I want to tell you that if it had not been for you all, our journey would have been so lonely. You were all here for us in the good and the not so good - and we'll post as soon as we can.
So pray for us. We're as ready as we'll ever be - all packed and hoping to catch some sleep in MTL.... these packing biz got us exhausted!!!

Exactly what kind of meat IS Montreal Smoked Meat? My American boy asked me last week and being a lifelong Ontarian I wasn't able to answer!

It's brisket marinated for days in herbs and spices and then smoked. It doesn't have any chemicals in it so it has a better taste and texture than mass-processed meats. I guess the best comparison would be pastrami. But much better. LOL
