Pete received Packet 3 in the mail, and has his medical scheduled for October 9th in London. We are a bit confused with the packet 3, and what to send.

It is my understanding that he needs to download and fill out the following forms:

STEP 1
[b][u]DS230-[/u][/b] Application for immigrant visa and alien registration (biographic data)-Complete pages 1 and 2 only.
DS156- Non immigrant visa application in DUPLICATE/complete but don't sign
DS156K (non-immigrant fiance visa supplement to form 156)
DS157- Supplementary non immigrant visa application to be completed by all male applicants age 16-45 plus all male & female applicants age 16 and over who hold a passport form.







STEP 2
Plus the affadavit of support, he must submit 2 more color photographs, send in his police certificate, medical examination, etc.


Step 3 was to schedule the medical

Step 4 complete checklist, sign form, and mail in all the forms


So what exactly does Pete mail in for Packet 3?? I thought he had to take the affadavit and other supporting evidence with him to the interview, does he have to mail it?

No all the items listed on the check list you take with you to the interview, you do not send them before hand.

The forms the Embassy sent to apply for the visa need to be completed and returned.

You send the check list back when you have all the items listed on it. If you have those already return check list with the Embassy forms

Only these 4 forms, and the completed signed checklist are to be sent to the embassy


The affidavit of support, police certificate and all other documents you take with you to the embassy on the day of your interview.

The medical examination results will be forwarded to the embassy by courier by the Panel Physician doing the Medical about 3-5 business days later.
