Hello everyone and anyone,

blink.gif I spoke with USCIS yesterday and they told me that the 60 days are counted during actual work days...even at the exclusion of holidays.

wacko.gif Is that true, is that true...aaaaagh!

Any suggestions, advice, or input?

I'm not sure this really goes there, but honestly, that wouldn't surprise me.

I'm sure most of us count it day-for-day, but how can we really count days they don't work? Of course no progress will be made on those days, so counting them (as in, progress is being made) is a bit erroneous.

hmm... people have been approved over the weekend before, and I've read discussions in here on more than one occasion about whether a weekend approval date means what it looks like

in any case, I'd have thought if that's what USCIS meant, they'd say 'working days' or 'business days' right there in their explanation...?

maybe now they're so behind they're getting creative with the definitions wink.gif

I see cars in the CSC parking lot over the weekends.

for some reason, upon reading that sentence I got an instant picture of you in camos, in the back of a van, with night vision goggles and a periscope laughing.gif

it DOES make perfect sense that they could work over the weekend if they want... it's a solitary job, after all; it's not like they need others around them to do it (and if they strike a snag and need their supervisor, they could just put the petition aside til Monday and get on with the next one)

now, when I was a teacher, I always wished we were allowed to work over the weekend... wink.gif

You did?! I thought working on weekends as a teacher was kinda part of the deal - how else do you get all your planning, marking, assessing, paperwork, covering your ### for OFSTED, bureaucratic nonsense done?!
StillThePrettiest
I meant: instead of during the week... schools are SO much better without the kids wink.gif

but yes, you're right of course; evenings, weekends and holidays... wonder why I'm not a teacher anymore wink.gif

Prolly for the same reason I am currently temping in an office!!

the teaching system and methods of grading in this country are a farce?
Sinergy
The 60-90 days are business days, not weekends and holidays. You see ppl getting approved on weekends bc when their stuff gets put in the system friday, and the system updates itsself friday night, some ppl dont wake up til saturday morning and there is their approval.

Jasmin the cars parked there in the weekend are prolly cleaning ppl laughing.gif
