Yes! After checking the status of my case online about four times a day since my biometrics appointment, I came home today to find an approval letter in the mail. At first I thought it was an RFE since the status was "received petition to remove...." when I left work (and still is), but it's the real deal! kicking.gif

Anyone else had this happen? Received approval letter while case still pending online that is...

One more year and then we'll go again! good.gif

Yeah, you would have hoped for a little more resistance, right... devil.gif

See you in a year!

Lugn
Well, I still have not received the green card or a notification that the production of one has been ordered.

The status online still indicates LUD as the day after my biometrics (which is also the day before the approval) and the status is still pending at "On August 16th we received you petition..."

I wonder if they forgot to check a box somewhere in the process, or if I'm just jumping the gun by expecting the card to be here by now. Seems like card production normally takes less than three weeks...

Congrats.

Here hoping mine is as fast we got transfered to CSC too. Do you think the speed of the local center for biometrics has and influance also?

Oooops - I spoke too soon. Figured I'd check the status online just after typing this and guess what?!?

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On October 29, 2007, we ordered production of your new card.

However, the status still says: PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, but I was "touched" today.

No dancing 'til the card's actually in my hand, though...

Congrats to the OP!

I was just lucky to be transferred to CSC. Had I applied when my 90-day window first opened, I probably would have been stuck at NSC. One sunny Friday afternoon I realized that fees were going up the next day, so I got all my paperwork together (that I could find...) and sent the petition in the next day. Almost surprised that I didn't screw anything up... blink.gif

Thanks! Good luck to you and everyone else still waiting! good.gif

Nah. From your timeline, your 90-day window seems to have opened around July 12, so NSC still would have transferred you to CSC because they started the transfers about July 1.

The people I feel really bad for are those like Mr.Bigdog (Reinhard), who filed promptly when his 90-day window opened in early June -- had he waited just about three weeks, he would have been one of the first to be transferred to CSC and would have long since been approved by now . . . .

it's bullshit...window opened way back in April, and probably won't see approval until February or March mad.gif There will be months and months of people who file after us who will get approved much more before us.

So, Thursday last week I received a letter from the USCIS saying that my case in indeed within the time limits and that they are currently working on cases from 5/24/07 (of course they didn't realize that they had already sent me an approval notice...). Basically they asked me to wait a few more months and sit quiet in the meantime. Well, I received the new GC on Saturday...

I do feel bad for everyone stuck at TSC and NSC, but I'm glad to have this done and over with. On to naturalization! kicking.gif
