Just making some enquiries because we are contemplating moving back to England next year. I will have removed my conditions before we leave and I know that if I am out of the country longer than six months I will need a permission to enter thingy. I just wondered if anyone had done this or if anyone had any advice? Obviously I want to get citizenship eventually so I don't want to ruin my immigration status.

Any words of wisdom appreciated!

Thanks

It may be worth the extra year wait to get your citizenship if at all possible.

You may be on shaky grounds with abandonment issues if you don't. As for citizenship, you need to be present in the country for even longer so unless you are going to fly back and forth a lot, there could be problems arising by upping sticks and moving back.

This is one of many examples over on the citizenship board. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83831
