So at this point we are WEEELLLLL outside the USCIS' self proclaimed 6 month realm. My congressman has gotten nothing back except a form letter stating that when they make a decision we will be notified..well DUH!! I got a letter back from the Vice Presidents special assistant for correspondence. Well actually I got 2 because she emailed me 2 x's asking me to send the mailing address...which I did. They are now passing it on to the Department of State for further review. Not really holding out a lot of hope there. I guess my main question is on calling the CSC. I didnt call really before we passed the time frame....but now, I call every Wednesday. And every week I am told something different, usually that my case has just gone to an officer that day...funny that has happened 5 times since July 17th. I know they can tell how many times we have called, because one lady said you call alot...I told her if it had been 9 months since she filed trying to get the man she loved here she would call too. But can it hurt the case do you think? At this point I am thinking the noisy wheel gets the oil....but there again I am scared...its ******* stupid for some government run agency to be able to put our lives on hold like this!!! What do ya'll think?

I sympathize with you. That is over the normal processing time. There is somebody you can mail to at the USCIS by the name of Omabudsman ( not sure if that is the correct spelling). His name is in one of the threads. I would maybe use that approach. At this point, there is really not much more you can do except wait. I wish the best for you!

Havent heard back yet...someone said it can take 1 to 2 months. I did it about 3 weeks ago. I know it was received because I sent it certified, but nothing yet!

I am very sorry to hear of your situation. This really stinks and they are giving your elected representative the run-around too. Do you have a contact the congressman's office, usually they have someone that specifically deals with this. Maybe you could call them more often. Good luck, I sure hope you get a resolution soon
Hanging in there
