I've been checking out a few threads today, about people who sent in the wrong forms and now I'm confused...and scared!

I mailed my application on Sept. 1, and the date of the form said "Rev. 07/30/07".
Now the USCIS website says that "Editions other than 07/30/07 and 02/05/07 are not acceptable", but when you download the form the date on it is actually: 07/31/2007???
WTF???

Anyway, just wanted to know if you guys think I sent in the right form (07/30/07) even if now the USCIS has an even newer one out?
I guess I'm a little worried because our check hasn't been cashed yet, and reading about all of these people who are getting their packages mailed back because of the wrong forms is freaking me out even more!
...Ah, the joys of immigration!

I wouldn't panic if I were you.

The form dated 7/30/07 should be perfectly fine even though there is a newer 7/31/07 version on the USCIS website.

What's the worst that can happen? They'll mail the package back to you and they'll simply ask for a different (updated) form!

While this will potentially be unsettling (with a loss of time), this is not fatal!!!!!!

I too had completed the 7/30/07 form but before mailing I downloaded and redid the document using the 7/31 form.

When it comes to the USCIS, who knows what is correct!!!

Anyway, I DID download the form from the USCIS website, but back then they didn't have the 07/31/07 one. I re-checked my form, I downloaded it on Aug 31, the day before I mailed it, so I guess I couldn't have downloaded the new one yet.
I don't know, I just hope they'll cash my check soon, so I can start TRY and relax a little!

If anybody else mailed that 07/30/07 form during my same period of time and got their check cashed, please let me know!
