My green card will expire on 12/16/07, and my husband and I are planning our trip to Europe in October. Is there any problem? Can I get back? --Thanks.

the answer depends on when you are coming back, not when you are going.

Yes, but you will need to re-enter the USA before it expires.
How about filing your I-751 in the next few days, and perhaps you will have the NOA1 letter in hand before traveling. The NOA1 extends the green-card for another year.
