As much as I'd like to think that maybe he could help, there's 2 reasons why he can't:

- As a state governor, he holds zero sway with the Federal government. As they say, shite rolls downhill.

- He's mostly alienated the Bush administration (and by proxy the Bush appointees who run Homeland Security) despite being a Republican, and so even calling in a favor would be out.

A call to our Representatives and Senators would be much more helpful.

I'm almost dreading Monday. Not sure I can face another disaster like last week.

They must be working on something there at CSC. I'm sure somebody there knows that K1 approvals are behind and sooner or later they will turn their focus to that growing pile before it falls over and kills somebody.

I wish I already know VJ before I filed my petition back in September. I'm afraid we may get RFE ..The whole process is very frustrating..Wish me luck!

Don't worry about it. Even if you get an RFE, most of them can be knocked out quickly. What do you think you might be RFE'd for?

Nah. Believe it or not, very few VJ petitions are RFE'd. The most common reasons are if you failed to include a required document or you didn't sign something. If you're feeling that stressed about it, just go over the copy of your packet that you made and look for errors or omissions. If you don't see anything glaring then you're fine. But really, even that's not necessary. You're most likely fine.

Our package is on is at the embassy in KENYA! Just waiting on the package and the interview its so nerve racking.. Its been sitting at the embassy or at least was shipped out there back in December. They ship by DHL right?

I got some clarification on that shipment to Manila. My application is probably not in that package because it has to go to NVC first where it will be reviewed and assigned an NVC number. Then it goes from there to Manila. So while the DHL tracking number I have is for a package going to the Manila embassy, my application is not likely to be in it this quick .

I'm thinking about to call VSC tomorrow. But there is no hope, because of IMBRA. I don't see anything 'touch' for a while. Mox, love to hear from you "NOA2 on your way".

Keep on it dewd, because your petition will likely arrive at the NVC tomorrow. I called them today and they told me they received mine on the 11th, and I was approved on the 9th. The lady at NVC told me that I should call back at the end of the week because my petition will likely be on its way to Moscow then. She told me they are turning them out in 3 or 4 days. So, give NVC a call tomorrow in the afternoon and they will probably have your petition. If not tomorrow I would bet for sure on Wed.

There phone number is 1(202)663-1225, I think if you want to check status you dial 1-0-0 I think its better to call when they first open, as the wait time increases as the day goes on.

WAKE UP!

There are two numbers you can use to call. This is NVC: (603) 334-0700 Press 1, 5. Use this number until they tell you that they have sent your petition to the Embassy. After the petition has been sent to the embassy call the DOS at (202) 663-1225 Press 1,0. They can both give you the same info, but if you need to make an address change or anything like that, you will have to call NVC because DOS cant actually do anything with your file, they can just look it up on the computer.

Well my second application was received January 14th at USCIS. I've already started drafting letters and release forms to USCIS, multiple congressman offices, Laura Bush's office, and the Ombudsman's office for March when I hit 6 months from my original September file date. I'm already counting on USCIS to fail regarding filing my application with the other Sept. people at CSC and am assuming when I call them they will refuse to go by the Sept. date and only recognize january 14...................

Can anyone give me a logical explanation, a thought, an answer, or a reason why the CSC would take 5 months to do a 5 minute job (approving a K1 petition)??? It is beyond me. High school freshmen could do a more efficient job. These CSC people are something else. I am truly in awe. I am dumbfounded. Confused. Bewildered. One can only imagine what it looks like inside of that place. Seriously, I wonder what it looks like when a typical CSC worker goes to work? I think it might look something like this....
