So I just got my return receipt back from the Post Office today. The CSC stamped it as being received on Sept 12, which is right in line with what the postal tracking system said. Just wondering why the return receipt took 11 days to find its way back to me? Also, no signature. I thought the whole idea behind these things is that you get a signature and it's returned to the sender right away. huh.gif

Starting to think the CSC exists in its own dimension.

Heh, if anyone receives NOA1 from CSC by Dec, please post. smile.gif smile.gif (sorry, just slightly annoyed that it's 2 weeks now and my check hasn't even been cashed.)

I’m not sure how fast CSC in California process. But, I did petition last year, it took about 1 week to get NOA1 and 2 months to get NOA2. My attorney sent a package to CSC on Aug21, 2006 and received NOA1 Aug 29, also received NOA2 on Nov 2, NVC sent package to my country on Nov 9.

I withdrew my case at US consulate in my country on Jan 2, 2007 (I could not find ‘Love and to be Loved’ from her). Sorry for my ESL. I guess I was lucky last time. I’m not sure about this time (without attorney).

To be honest it had nothing to do with your attorney, there was just less applications in the system back then, not to mention there are supposedly less people working on them now. Not much hope of a 2 month NOA2 these days...looking at an average as of today of 121 days at CSC for NOA1 to NOA2. The Average file date to interview date is now a whopping 188 days overall.

I read in another thread that there's speculation that 129F's are being grouped in with 130's. I hope this isn't the case, but it doesn't seem like it would be falling into "All Other Forms" either. mad.gif

Pretty sure we fall under "all other forms". Would suggest they should be processing yours this week no?

GRRRRR! It's a little disheartening to read that VSC is about 10 days behind on new application (IF our I-129F is in the "all other" category.) Hopefully ours is there now and in the stack... I mailed our packet the 17th, and mail typically takes about 7-10 days to get back to the States from here.
Oh well... back to watching the bank for the check to hit!

Still haven't received NOA1 or had my check cashed. I'm starting to think we're lumped in with the I-130's, as someone suggested in another thread that I'm too lazy to find.

Looking forward to the Receipting Update page update today.

Okay, so I'm trying not to be upset, but SERIOUSLY?!?!?! Like Vermont and California didn't have ENOUGH work to do being the only service centers that process the K1 and K3 visas, they have to help Texas and Nebraska with DATA ENTRY?!?!

Give me a break! That frustrates me to no end! I know that they closed the other two service centers to the K1 and K3 visas quite awhile ago but I have no idea why. Wouldn't it make sense for all four to be up and operational? Don't you think that would actually get things moving a little speedier? I dunno....

For those of you that will be upset because I just filed and have hardly started waiting, please don't be. I've been watching these boards for a long time and have seen your frustration. I'm simply echoing those feelings!

So I'm making my first trip into the US today since we filed the petition... Miami was a scary port for me before this all started - all the immigration officers seem so downright hostile, and not so welcoming to tourists (even those like me on a VWP). Will be interesting to see if they make me pull out my entire copy of the I-129F, all my "proof of ties to Costa Rica" etc etc... PLEASE NO INTERROGATION, PLEASE NO INTERROGATION, PLEASE NO INTERROGATION no0pb.gif no0pb.gif no0pb.gif
Jeraly
Good luck! You'll be fine!!! As long as you have your evidence things should be ok - my OH came to the UK in August and had the best entry through immigration yet so a lot depends on the officer you get and the sort of day they've had I'm guessing!!!
mox
Thanks Jeraly! smile.gif

Speaking of ports of entry, I recently flew from London to San Francisco. Since SF will be the port of entry for my fiance I tried to put myself into her shoes, looking at the signs and the different lanes and such. I noticed that the immigration officers seemed to be very patient with the immigrants. There were a couple of officers standing up front to help direct people properly, and they seemed to be very helpful and professional. I took the longest line I could, just so I could observe as much as possible, and all of the lines, even the immigrant lines, moved at a fairly decent clip. I didn't see any evidence of rudeness. And as I passed through the other side to collect my luggage, I heard one of the immigration officers say "welcome to the United States." The couple he was helping, a middle-aged Indian couple, could hardly contain their tears. It was a moving example of that famed American hospitality that you hear so much about but rarely actually see.

So if you're shopping for a POE, my "through immigrant eyes" experience was pretty good.
StillThePrettiest

Technically, I am an October filer because my package was not mailed until 7 am on October 1; I would like to be part of this thread.

Nevertheless, my package was received today, October 2 at approx. 10 AM in Vermont Service Center. I am sure hoping for a quick turnaround, check cashing, NOA1, NOA2, no RFE's, and sending to NVC and Moscow quickly.

According to the processing times, the current I-129F NOA1 issue time for CSC is 31 days. Which means that those September filers who filed at the very beginning of September should start seeing NOA1's. Any September CSC filers seen an NOA1 yet?

Sorry to disappoint you but it actually makes more sense to count the waiting time from the date of NOA-1. We are "technically" March filers but got NOA-1 on April 10 and were generally in synch with the April bunch. The US-Sickos don't even officially recognize the existence of your file until they issue the first notice.

Hmm...I wonder how come VSC is getting their NOA1's out so much faster than CSC? It doesn't make sense to me, especially if they supposedly have the same workload. Interesting!

Was doing a timeline search this afternoon for September CSC filers, and came across some surprising results. According to the timeline search, the following September CSC filers have received NOA1:

roxy & lito
I-129F Sent: 9/5
NOA1: 9/10

Wilaiwan & James
I-129F Sent: 9/10
NOA1: 10/1

Handan & Kenny
I-129F Sent: 9/11
NOA1: 9/12

tonya & darrin
I-129F Sent: 9/19
NOA1: 9/20
RFE: 9/26

Angela & Jeff
I-129F Sent: 9/19
NOA1: 9/29

Juliana & Brian
I-129F Sent: 9/25
NOA1: 9/26

Out of the 6 "anomolies," it's probable that the 3 whose sent date and their NOA1 date are a day apart are either confused or are in posession of damning photos of USCIS adjudicators in compromising situations. Also, tonya & darrin don't have a timeline which makes me wonder where their information is coming from.

roxy & lito may also be confused, and might be listing their "sent" date and their "received by USCIS" date. That leaves 2 entries that are possibly legitimate: Wilaiwan & James (sent 9/10, NOA1 10/1) and Angela & Jeff (sent 9/19, NOA1 9/29).

Anyone who's listed here care to clarify? I'm very skeptical that any September CSC filers have received NOA1 yet, but if someone really has then it would kinda blow the lid off the "we process them in the order they're received" story.
Dr Mirage
Wow! You did quite a bit of research on this one with the time lines. In my opinion, no one really knows what goes on inside USCIS. I personally don't like the process and the system, but we do not have any choice or any other option. It has to be done this way. Everyone has to go through it.

I did call two weeks ago, USCIS CSC representative mentioned since the rate increased for petitions, a ton of applications were received prior to the increased fees. Therefore they are busy. (back logged)

For those 6 'time line entries' you mentioned.

You can send them a PM. Maybe they can shed some light about getting their NOA1.

I submitted mine on the 22nd of Aug. And USCIS just deposited my check yesterday (Oct 3rd). I still don't have a NOA1 yet , but I do have a case # from the image copy on the back of my check Wellsfargo scanned for online banking. smile.gif

Just be patient.

Also, who ever checks your application. They can be having a good day and just approve everyone. Or they can have a bad day and just deny the visa. Least thats how I feel about applying for a visa at the Manila, US Embassy in the Philippines. Its a 50/50 hit no miss kinda thing. Some people are just lucky.

My guess is they are putting the date the petition was received at the service center as the NOA1 date. A simple mistake, but unfortunately it screws of the VJ statistics.

Thanks for the welcome! I would like to add that given where I am currently located, mail generally takes about 7-10 days to get just about anywhere else. I should have the little green return receipt card sometime soon as well.
