Oh well i read that they recieved about 2,5 millions applications during july and august...all kind of applications but hopefully they realize that a k-1 is about getting married and that RIGHT NOW OUR LIFES IS IN THEIR HANDS

actually, part of all the shake up round the end of July was to make the distribution more even... and it's happened; if you look at petitions filed after August 1 they even out considerably

I'm still thinking I got screwed by sending to Texas as advised. Texas recieved the packet on 7/28 and my NOA1 states that the case was received by Vermont on 8/28.

You're also check your mail from previous address even you've changed it. I will not change my address unitl I receive NOA2 (too risk, I read somewhere on VJ).
BTW, Sept filers. I haven't see any touch yet. Did you guys get touch? I know it's too early, but can't keep the silence.

You could have waited another few days and sent 455$ like the rest of us.

It's only 30 days, and there is still a possibiltiy they will process you by the date received at TSC anyway.

Yeah, the previous address was my parents address. I knew I was going to be moving, so I used their address to begin with.

I got one back in November, but I think it was because the table in the break room was wobbly and they needed something to stick under it.

My Estimated Approval Date went up two days! WOOHOO! They estimate March 2nd now! Speeding up is a GREAT thing! I'm super excited!
Yeah, looks like mine backed up 2 days too! Actually a couple days ago I think it backed up one day, but I couldn't remember if it originally said Feb 19, or Feb 18. But I'm pretty sure it said the 19th. Now it's showing Feb 17.
Thanks to StillThePrettiest's recent stats though, I'm getting more and more optimistic that Sept filers will start to see things kicking into gear in January.

Our predicted adjuncting date is Feb 29th, changed from about march 3rd origionally. That'd be a leap year to remember, but I hope it comes sooner!

GAH!! My predicted date jumped forward 2 days. Now that's just plain mean.

Looks like CSC just completed 3 applications yesterday which had REF's. Those people had very long waits, 2 from june and 1 from may! That caused the average number of days till NOA2 to increase, which seems to be all your estimated adjunctioning date is based on.

I thought that only Eric dreamed about this VJ website. But I was dream two days ago that I received a RFE. No wonder why RFE instead of NOA2. Alright too much now, have a nice weekend all
20 days early puts me right into the end of January. So of course that means I'll be checking the website obsessively starting Jan 1. Any touches between now and then are bound to make me run around in circles like a crazed pug. And this from the guy who keeps preaching that touches mean nothing. *sigh*
StillThePrettiest
Dec 9 2007, 05:41 PM
well, touches CAN mean nothing, and certainly the absence of touches is nothing to worry about, but we've seen that recently, at least, the trend is touch, followed almost immediately by NOA2

so I think you should give yourself permission to be excited if you get one, and to want to see one

Just wanted to
re-post this post from Eli in the CSC thread. I think it's a very real possibility that we'll start seeing some Sept approvals in January:
Progress Update for us poor CSC'ers.
Two August filers got their NOA2's last week, the most recent of which received NOA1 on 2007-08-03 and NOA2 on 2007-12-04. After that July looks pretty much well completed up to the 26th.
So best case scenario for some of us is 4 months, but that's also bearing in mind that June and July were the mother of all busy months at CSC so maybe best case scenario is 3.5 months conceivably.
So there. Just doing my bit to keep everyones spirits up!!!

According to the timeline search. More people filed in July (368) than August, September and October combined (337). Thats with all service centers and all type of visas. So once that July chunk is all taken care of it should go a lot faster.

Hi All You fellow September Filers!!!!
I finally found the thread I have been looking for!!!! We sent our petition on September 18th to the CSC. According to our NOA1, which we recieved November 2nd, our recieved date is September 19th. My question is do I go by september date they gave me or the november? I know the USCIS website said they are going to honor the date the petion was actually recieved in their mailroom due to the backlog, but they also say they review all the cases in order. I have been going by the september date and so has my lawyer, but I just wanted some other opinions. Also, how do you figure out your adjudication date that I see a lot of people talking about? Good luck to all of you and it is nice to know that Dijani and I are not the only ones going through this!!!!
P.S. I keep trying to post a picture, but everytime I try and upload it it says, "upload failed: contact board adminisrator" I tried to contact who I thought was the admin, but no reponse. Any help?

Dec 11 2007, 01:21 AM
Welcome Norman!
Go by the received date, September 19th. And your estimated adjudication date is at the bottom of your timeline, Feb 25th.
Welcome to the thread and best of luck to you!

Dec 11 2007, 01:10 PM
Maybe it is just hope, but I have this feeling that once the bulk of the july filers is over, things are really going to pick up. Hopefully that will solve the whole problem of getting appvroved petitions to NVC as well! Wishful thinking? Maybe or maybe no!

The adjudicated date in your timeline is the predicted date for your NOA2. The date you'll have your K-1 isn't really predictable because it depends on the country, consulate, and other factors.
Hope that helps!

I think everyone's trying to hibernate until January.
Anyone care to have a little contest as to when the next September approval will be?
Grand prize is NOA2 and goes to the first September approval.

First prize is...um...a cookie. Sorry, we simply don't have the prize budget the CSC Sweepstakes has. But I think you'll agree our grand prize is better than anything they've got anyway.

I'll start with January 7.

Hmmm...let's go with:
- The person with the closest date either side of the actual date wins.
- In the case of a tie, the person who is closest on the early side of the date wins.
All votes to be in by midnight PST January 1.
