Just saw my check got cashed yesterday! Can't see any 13 digit number starting with 3 letters though. Guess i have to wait for the notice.
There was a stamp that said Oct 21, 2007 on the back but no other non-bank numbers.
Hopefully this is the start of a trend!
Hey, that is great, Nica! Congratulations. I think the positive vibes are going to help us

YAY! Our check was cashed yesterday. My fiance's having a hard time making out the numbers on the back though. He's says that they're mostly a blur, but there are no numbers starting with CSC or any other letters. I guess we'll have to wait for the NOA1 hardcopy in the mail too!
He said he's never been so happy to see $455 come out of his bank account before! Here's hoping that the rest of you get your checks cashed soon too!

I feel I am getting more and more nervous today, learned some of us waited more than 45 days, still without NOA1 in hand. I always believe we can get the NOA1 next week, but it seems after 30+ days, there's still no information about our Petition.
I am also encouraged to hear more good news of us, September filers, nowadays! I do hope we can get our NOA1 sometime next week!
Good luck to all september filers!

Congrats "A-Team" all I can say is the more filers from Sept. that come through the closer we will all be <grin>....
Guys you know what - we will ALL get our notices ... andthe worst thing is the WAITING... the moment that those applications were sent off to the various agencies... suddenly (just like xmas when we were kids) days (felt like weeks)... I am absolutely as frustrated about this process as the rest of you, and i also suffer with the time zone (conversations) that just feel slightly disjointed, and the fact that our lives are in limbo and on hold <grin> but it will all pass, and HOW strong will we be because of this process???
Have a GREAT day and lets all keep our chins up and keep on supporting each other... and our beloved's ...

CHECK cashed FINALLY.... <grin> today (26th October)... does that mean NOA-1 has been issued?
I am waiting to speak to my darling USC who excitedly emailed me that the money had finally gone through his bank, we seem to be missing each other over the past 12 hours via the phone ... ... LOL.. and I just want to talk with him, and then find out what the reference number is on the back of the check, so I can look it up on the website...
I have NEVER been more excited for a government agency to cash (the first of many

) checks in my life... At least I now know that it is in the "system" somewhere.
have a GREAT day folks ....

YAY! Two more checks cashed! Tracy, I know EXACTLY what you mean! My USC actually was on the phone when he looked and found that the check had been cashed. He said that he's never been more excited to see that money missing! ~giggles~ What a strange feeling! He looked on the back of the check and said that he didn't see a number that started with three letters, much to my disappointment. To my understanding though, once the check is cashed, the NOA1 is issued and should come in the mail.
Don't despair the rest of you September filers! It certainly looks like they're working backwards. As my fiance said, someone found our envelope and said "OH CRAP!" and they set to cashing checks from the wrong side of the pile! Your time is coming soon!

I'm checking the bank account 3-4 times a day, waiting for the check to be cashed. I guess the plus side waiting this long for NOA1, is that it breaks up the LONG waiting period from NOA1 to 2. It's been 5 weeks tomorrow.

Congrats folks... I don't know about y'all but when I knew that the check had been cashed and that first NOA arrived... it was like a huge relief (at least I knew that the package hadn't fallen on the floor and disappeared under a desk or a cupboard)
Now lets just hope that the rest of the Sept. filers start to hear something, and "fingers crossed" that with all the extra staff they have seemingly put on, will have these NOA1's turned into interview dates in our embassy's as quickly as possible... while I completely understand the reasonings for delays and the ensuring that the process is followed properly .... 6+ months is just a tad crazy...
Hmmmmm LOL.. thought here...
If EVERY person in the USA (regardless of who they were) HAD to go through - similar to what we have to via the K1... an "enforced" separation, with only phone/email contact (or very expensive flight travel for rare visits)... and if they had to go through police checks, proof of meeting, proof of ongoing relationship, proof of support, medicals, vaccinations, an interview... oh and all the other stuff that goes with it...

HOW many folks would actually end up marrying... I think very few, actually

would reduce the strain on the USA family court system as there would be a lot less marriages (and therefore a lot less divorces) LOL... and they could then turn those financial resources over to the USCIS for us legal immigrants, and also to give more resources to seeking out the illegals......
hmmm food for thought...
<grin>
have a GREAT day and KEEP on letting us know about any NOA's etc..

Hi all my fellow Sept. Fliers- Just wanted to let you know that I finally made it back home to find good news. We received our NO1A.

It shows a received date of Sept. 27, 2007 and Notice date of Oct. 25. I am hoping and guessing they will be going by the Sept date. I suppose only time will tell if us (the CSC users) will be equal to them (VSC users). I have read different things, but nothing concrete as evidence for us. Good luck to all. Now the "touch" game begins.
Congrats Chuck n Rose.

You won't believe it! Or at least...I still don't! I checked my bank account online this morning and found that our check had been cashed yesterday Nov. 2!! I am still kinda shell-shocked after having become resigned to the fact that we were going to have to be THAT couple who just wasn't going to hear anything for a LOOOONNNG time. Holy Cow!
Question for those who have used the USICS site to sign up to get info about your case. When you first signed on did it say "On 'such and such date' we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)" But, that date was more like the date they possibly opened the package, not the date that it was received through the mail? I am just curious cause the date on mine said Oct 30, 2007....when I know my petition arrived Sept 6, 2007. Any ideas?? I am sure when the NOA1 Hardcopy comes in the mail my fear that they are using the wrong date as the received date will be quelled...just wondering what your guys' experience has been like
Oh...and other update...I did email the CSC the other date and received an email basically saying that they do not take inquiries from the public through email. Which kinda bummed me out. Now I wonder if it somehow did have an effect since my check was cashed a day or two later. Thoughts? Anyone else have a similar experience????
Have a great day, everyone! I am hoping to see everyone getting there NOA1's soon!

Yes, the NOA1 hardcopy is the official document mailed to your home that officially states that your petition has been received and is on very official looking stationary. You know if you have been touched by checking your case status online. If the "Last Updated" date changes, you have been touched.
