Hi,
I thought I'd replied to this but I couldn't see it anywhere so .....
I don't think anything slowed us particularly, 6-7 months does appear to be an average processing time via CSC. I did receive my visa 1 week late as I had to submit one additional piece of information re income.
Good luck to you, I hope you hear something soon. I understand how frustrating it can be.
