Yes, though we are entering our 5th month of waiting now..

No, no idea

Yes, quite frustrated, really.

The only think I can suggest is look at the timelines and try to figure what the average is. Good luck good.gif

Hi Ron! Ours took 122 days to have NOA2 or approval also from California Service Center. My fiance decided to call CSC and week after that call we got the approval. So I suggest you better call CSC and ask about your petition.

This might be a wrong place to ask this question. but ......
In your case how long do you think you will get your citizenship. From your timeline you got your green card on 2/28/06 so you will get citizenship in 2/28/09. I mean some where around that period 0 -3 months difference (also you never go out of the country and do all the other things properly). I am just using your case as an example. Please let me know. it looks like you have thorough knowledge.

You can go out of the country, just not for a long period of time. Through marriage you can apply for citizenship in 3 years, but if the marriage fails, it will take 5 years.

That is for Claudeth do decide and I just don't think she has made up her mind about citizenship at this point.

What do you mean never go out of the country?

Today, it has been 136 days since our NOA1. I have called twice, and both times I was told that our case was still within the processing time.

No touches since May 10. I too am very anxious!!
kits_24_faith
well I have been waiting for almost 6 months now...got an RFE last month and it seems that for some reason they want to make me wait longer..i thought after sending the RFE reply and case has resumed it will only take atleast a month but I think I'll never get my NOA2.. i've searched others that have gone through RFE and they got their NOA2 in less than 2 weeks.. there was also one who got approved in 3 days after the case has resumed due to an RFE.. I hope you won't get any RFE at all.. I was really expecting my NOA2 like last week or this week but it's already Friday..Nothing yet.. I really don't get it.. it's not really on USCIS.. it's the officers that has all of our case.. not every officer really DO THEIR JOB RIGHT.. I also called two days ago.. and ofcourse.. NOTHING.. sorry about this I'm just really depressed and just can't stand it..

I THOUGHT THEY PRIORITIZE CITIZENS.. BUT I GUESS IT'S NOT REALLY THE TRUTH..OR THE WHOLE TRUTH..

Check the service times, this is how long it takes for some. We filed at the end of April and still havent heard anything past the receipt in the mail. But Im not surprised as the timeline for the Texas Center says 136 days as of today. Do the math. It's taking everyone a long time.

prioritise citizens? but there's a US citizen involved in every petition...

That is correct. We filed our K1 petition at the end of April and it was Approved September 10th. According to VJ timeline, it took 135 days. Good luck!!

to d & s... our date is May 11...and we got our NOA1 the second week of August (????)...and no others touches since then....
this is very frustrating indeed....

I looked at your timeline.. that's pretty amazing that you got your NOA1 the next day after you sent your application.. that's kinda impossible but i guess now it isn't since you are the first one I've seen with a NOA1 a day after you sent your application. Buddy, no offense and nothing against you.. I know you are probably tired of people here complaining and ranting for waiting so long.. but you really can't blame them..though we wait patiently times come where you just have to release all the pain.. that's why there's a community here to help each other out..

I'll just wish you luck that you won't go through like I have gone through or others that have had it worst.. all i want is my NOA2 despite the fact that after getting it there is still more waiting to do.. hehehe.. but atleast this part is the hardest.. I'll even be happy for you if you get your NOA2 before I get mine...
StillThePrettiest
my NOA1 date is so early because I used the 'received' date printed on it, as instructed by bszoom in another thread... we didn't actually have it til about two weeks later (which is still pretty quick, when you consider the current climate, AND that they sent our petition to CSC from Vermont for some weird reason I have yet to understand)

no, no offence whatsoever smile.gif
I'm not tired of people 'complaining and ranting'; I know that's part of the reason we're all here... however I do my best, here as anywhere else, to be rational and logical about things; so if someone just says 'I am absolutely sick and tired of waiting to be with my fiance/e; I had no idea it was going to take this long and I wish they'd hurry up', my response is likely to be sympathy, or nothing; that's just ranting, and I COMPLETELY understand it; hell, I just had one paltry week with my fiancé after a nine month absence; I can understand people being annoyed or depressed or angry or tearful or whatever!

however, if they say things like 'they should prioritise citizens', or 'I thought they were supposed to process petitions in the order in which they were received', or something like that, I'll sometimes respond, because there's a logical flaw in the statement, and I figure if I can answer the question then maybe the person might feel a bit better about that aspect of the situation, at least... we all rant, from time to time, about all manner of things that are getting us down, but I don't see the sense in ranting about something that isn't true, or whatever, so I'd rather address that if I can

hope that all makes sense smile.gif
no offence to you either... and I also wish you a speedy NOA2 yes.gif

The fact is they don't process anyone in order , is a total mess , one couple is approved in 3 months , one couple never hears back for a year .

Immigration , they process work visas for companies over family , infarct they do a good job, of destroying relationships due to they wait for the visas and 1 year is crazy , charge more money , and follow up these women in the USA , and make sure they were not fraudulent relationships,
You tell in an interview or paper , charge the money and get the good people through, and send the bad people back. That is fair !

Also due to the time .
Some people are sick, or have sick family members.

another thing that really is so strange I am applying for a fiancee visa, and even though I spent times with her toting about 28 days , and always on the phone .

it will be a year before if she will get here , then we have less 3 months to get married ,...

There is no logic , some countries allow direct consular filling which saves months ,.

When I think how many women come here just for the visa and the poor men that get taken advantage of in the end, what a torture

How do I know these things , because it happened to me with a colonization girl from cali

she was here within 2 months after we started , and we were to marry in the USA , but to get here in the USA , she pulled a trick on me , she had me said a power of attorney for one thing that she used me to get me married in Colombia ( I know sounds stupid, but is happening all to often from south America, because they all have family and friends here , and many women leave the men with in 1 yr - 2) , and she came here , She seemed so nice . 3 years later she extorted money from me, and I lost
so much money and the best years of my life. What is my point , if they make this process easier , and more costly at the start , and us guys can be with our fiancees for longer times here in the USA , less bad women will end up getting papers , and our Gov't should crack down on that . letting women stay who never intended to stay with the man she did the visa with is fraud, but I never heard of a women being sent back, just us poor guys suffering ,

Gosh I am a US Citizen , do I get any rights lol ,
Same with workers that change status, or tourist , they should be last in line , family's come first , then US citizens applying , that would make sense , following up tourists that over stayed there visas, people that did fraud , our country does not do that , they keep family apart for years ...
I know write my congressman.

If they cant do it due to man power raise the fees.. that will stop alt of bad eggs right off the start ..
In the end there is no fairness, the order , the processing , the laws, the way they judge women that came here to the USA on fraud .

I know my girl from the Philippines two years . she has surprised me so many times with the things she does for me and her love, if she is an actress , then she is great , but wow .
Only I know that she loves me and how much,. I have had I guess many women , and
they say you can tell the difference, well I feel it , physically , , what she does, how hard she works at her job, and barely she has time for sleep , all waiting for our visa !
From the day I met her, from now, . I look to see bad, but I cant find it , now I wait alone , months and months just so we can live together,
All I can say is thank god I have the money to plan vacations to see her, and she works hard to do same ,.

My old whatever .
The girl from Colombia Yahira aleman sch... went on to hurt others

and I think might be looking for a new husband because last I heard she want to live in Europe

she thinks the USA , has to many problems ,,, how funny she even gets to choose which country to grab the next victom ,...

In the end what is someone heart , or in there head, no one can tell , I feel we should get fast approvals , charge more money , and see and chack on the women ( or men ) after they arrive in the USA , ( like a probation period) the truth comes ut here . I know of 3 women that came here from south america that did not eeven stay with the men they made visa with, for more than 2 moths, and they had other boyfriends here , wow that i would love to see , catching those women and sending them packing on there way home, I think we do things backwards .. oh well I pray my good day will come when my fiancee can be here with me
