My fiance and I are in the process of obtaining a K1 visa, we've already received the NOA2 and letter from the consulate. However, after careful consideration, we have decided to live in Canada instead of America, and we wish to withdraw our application. I'd like to know if anyone has any information as to what the proper protocol is for withdrawing, where the withdrawal should be sent (consulate, CIS office?) and if there will be any negative ramifications from withdrawing (i.e. difficulty travelling or immigrating to the US in the future). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
