Hello all. I have sent in my paper work for k-1 visa on august 27/07, recieved confermation from usps that uscis signed for my papers. todays date is sept 12/07 it has been two weeks i was looking at other peoples timelines and they recieved a NOA1-NOA2 with in a few days after they sent in their paperwork should I be worried that I have not recieved anything yet? If so how can I contact uscis to see if they still have my papers with out a case number? If any one has an answer I would appreciate the help.

That's gonna be hard for you to get a number just calling them.. I heard some stories that they got but it's a chalenging thing to do! I think u r in time! My NOA1 arrived at my fiance's house 34 DAYS after we had sent it!! We sent in July 25th and we got the hard copy in August 28th! I know that sounds crazy.. it's not good to spend so much time without know that u are in the process! but you'll be fine, ok? good.gif

The NOA1 is not that important. We never received our's. If you can get your case number from the back of your cashed cheque then you can sign up for email updates from USCIS. It took a month for our cheque to be cashed so 2 weeks is not very long. Give it a couple of weeks more and check to see if your cheque has been cashed.

It is early Yet. Take a look at the immigration timelines at the top of the page, it might help you to see what others have experienced.

Give it some time....and remember, it's only the NOA1 that you want. The NOA2 is the approval.

50 days after they received petition and our check was not cashed yet.... helpsmilie.gif

We sent our I-129F in on the 11th August, and it was received on the 13th.

We rang the USCIS a day ago to chase as the cheque hadn't been cashed nor had we reiceved any correspondence. They have told us to expect a delay of up to 90 days before we hear anything or before they will look into helping us as they are exceedngly busy at the moment, (probably because many people brought forward their application to beat the recent price increases).
