Just a bit of encouragement for all of the newbies in this forum . . .

Focus on what brought you together . . . always demand the truth. Don't let the stress of this process drive you crazy. Don't be afraid to walk away if you feel it is a lie. Pick your battles. Know what to ignore and what to push. Truly get to know your husband/wife. Put your marriage first and make you're being put first as well.

My husband and I have been through ALOT in the 7 months that he's been here. Now, finally, we are very adjusted to our lives and eachother. Things are pretty "normal" . . . we understand and respect what we've both experienced and have made individual decisions to make sure we don't go through those times again.

Good luck to everyone! Always, feel free to e-mail me with any questions/concerns about this process or advice in general. We haven't had many USCIS issues . . . I did it all myself . . . his AOS interview is scheduled in a month or so . . .

Good luck and may you prevail at your upcoming AOS interview. It took my husband and I awhile to adjust and accept the reality of being together. There are so many issues you need to face.

As VisaJourney ages, it is interesting to see who comes back on and shares what life is like after the visa is issued.

Have a great AOS interview!

Hi Alicia,

THanks for posting again. Glad things are getting normal. We're in the same boat as you--feeling loving, good and normal==except our AOS has fallen into some kind of black hole! Continued best wishes for you and hubby!

Hello Alicia,

Nice to hear from you again, I liked your words of advice for us all. Some bumps in the road turn into blooming flowers, and others into hard rocks, I'm glad to hear that you and your husband have decided to make some flowers, good luck to the both of you.
