Ok I have read all the info. and believe I have everything together. Here is my story. Me and my wife got married in the Philippines in July. I came back here shortly after that. I had all the paper work together to file but have recently lost my job of 12 years. (the company was lossing money and had to make cuts, I was one of the lucky ones) I have a side business that I can fall back on so I am not worried. Now I will just go back and be with my wife for a while. We had a problem with our marriage cert. and are in the proccess of fixing that. which is why I have not filed yet.
My question is, Should I file here in the States or do a DCF in the philippines? I am not to worried about time since I can stay there for up to a year financially. I still have my place here, bank accounts, and business so I think I should have no problem showing domicile.
Actually a better question should be, am I overlooking anything?
Thanks
YuAndDan
DCF require that you are living in the consular district in the foreign country as a resident, and have been for 6 months or more.

Maintain domicile in the USA, this is a requirement of DCF.
