helpsmilie.gif This might sound a little crazy, but what date should I enter when signing a copy of my 2006 tax return current date or date it was actually filed electronically.I used Turbo Tax and the copies have Do not File across all of the copies.

It's copy, it really does not matter if you sign it or not. I'm sure the CO would know about it, but explain the applicant taking it to the consulate just in case.

If you remember the date that you signed the originals put the same date on your copies. Signing TODAY's date is really NOT appropriate as it could mean that you filed late.

Actually if you have the time, you can request for transcripts for free from the IRS. I've gotten them in less than 2 calendar weeks of time.
You can request upto 3yrs on each form. Just fax it to them ASAP and you'll have them in about 10 calendar days.

I had copies of my 2006 that I had signed. We took them to a notary and I signed and dated the current date and then had them notarized.
