Can we do the medical tests prior to receiving the packet?

I called up a doctor in Chennai and he insisted on getting the yellow color form for the medical examination to be done..

Any thoughts?

In our case, in New Delhi, we never received the packet 3. Once we got the case number, my fiancee went for the medical. They didn't ask to see the interview letter, they just needed the case number.

NOPE, You need the interview letter for Medical exam in Chennai.
I also know that you need the interview letter for Police clearance cert. if you are getting it from B'lore RPO.

My husband went for the medical in Chennai after receiving Packet 4 with the interview letter. But he said that no one asked for the interview letter, not at the lab and not at the doctor's office. no0pb.gif

He did not need the letter while getting the PCC in Visakhapatnam passport office and at local village police station in East Godavari Dist., AP. The only place anyone wanted the yellow interview letter, was when he entered the Consulate on the day of the interview.

Hmm... the doctor puts the case number on the medical report. The case number is available only on the interview letter as far as the applciant is concerned. Beneficiaries know that from the NVC letter.
