Just curious...I don't have a any friends here and when my finace` gets approve (staying positive and optimistic) he won't have any either, and I thought it would be great to have some buddies that went through or that will be going through the same things we did...and we would already have something in common ;-).

My fiance is from NC too but he's at the New Bern Area. I will be going there early next year.

There are lots of people in NC, but I dunno how many of them are actually in or close to Charlotte. I'm an hour and a half away, in Morganton.

We don't actually live in Charlotte, but are a 45min drive away in Lincolnton.

Lemmee see...we're booked next weekend, and I think the weekend after that...hey, we're trying to get tickets to see Jeff Dunham in Lenoir, wanna come? Friday October 5th. We're going with a bunch of folks from Hickory, they're a bit weird but mostly harmless I don't think we have anything to do Oct. 6th, but then after that the next few Saturdays are booked. And I work M- F these days. Could do an evening in the week I suppose, except Wednesdays, we have dog obedience training with George. Again.

Sundays are usually right out of the question because James is gaming again, and they start at 1:30 and go til about 9pm If I try to make plans for a Sunday, he gets cranky

Hey are you going to the CanSouth Oktoberfest? We're not unfortunately, we already had other plans. But they're good folks, we had fun at the Canada Day bash.

Well I guess this is why it's been so long since we got together, our schedules make it almost impossible!!!

We leave on vacation this Saturday, so next weeks out. Sundays are out for us too, since its football for Steve and Nascar for me. I think it'll have to be a weekday get together. I have no clue who Jeff Dunham is, so I'm sure Steve wouldn't be interested in getting tickets to see him.

Do you already have plans for Mon. Oct. 8th? It's Canadian Thanksgiving, we could go out for dinner to celebrate it.

Hey I am in NC .Was wondering if there is anyone near Jacksonville.

My fiance is in New Bern, I think it's an hour away from there. His mom lives there. I'm travelling on Feb 2008, who knows maybe we can meet someday.
