You will not be asked for the bona fide marriage when filing but you will be asked during the embassy's interview in the last stage .
Keep those evidence in an envelope till later.

yes yes yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

collect everything "up front" to avoid problems later at the interview!!!

another good thing is to send in letters from both sides who know you as a couple. they do not need to be certified or notarized. but be sure they include the persons full name, address and phone number. this shows these are real people who can be notified if nesessary.

good luck!

Actually, the new I-130 does ask for some additional evidence of bona fides at filing. Those who've never lived together and are newlyweds can usually get by skipping it but if you have it, send it. Most of what you've listed, I would save for the interview but since you do have a joint bank account and insurance cards, I would include copies of those with your petition and save the rest for interview.

I think right now all they want is the marriage certificate (oh and the certified translation) issued by a legal authority. The fun starts at your wife's interview, i think they will want to see all of the pics, phone records, bank records, and anything else at that time. Good idea to just let that stuff accumulate and bring it all, who knows what the embassy drones want to poke through.

You need to send in more than just the marriage certificate with the I-130.

pushbrk is correct.

Include copies of your bank and medical records as well as a copy of your marrage certificate in the I130.

Save the rest for the interveiw.

Hello everyone!

When I filed our I-130 petition I was a newly wed, so I really did not have many documents that included both of our names. The only thing that I sent as proof (to bona fied our marriage) in the I-130 package was our marriage certificate and a copy of our honeymoon itinerary...and that worked for us.

Good luck.

Most newlyweds use affidavits.
if you read the guides this is what is listed:

Note: Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage
The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage. They list examples of acceptable evidence as:
1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or
2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or
3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; or
4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; or
5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or
6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union.
