Today it has been 122 days since our first NOA. I called yesterday and the csr told me our I-765-Application for Employment Authorization (NOT the I-129f) was approved and the approval form was mailed August 10. Okay, #1: I don't want to sound completely ignorant, but everything I've read suggests that we should apply for the I-765 after my fiance gets into the states with his visa. I wasn't even aware that we had applied for the I-765. #2: We didn't receive a hard copy. She told me that on Monday (30 days after the approval) I can call and they will send us another - and that's what I plan to do.

I'm just wondering, does anyone have any experience with this type of approval? About how long after this should we **tentively** expect to receive an NOA2?

Perhaps the USCIS customer service rep was mistaken and read the wrong information to you? I would call again.

Yeah, sounds like there must have been a mix up with the receipt number and the wrong case info was read to you. If you didn't submit an I-765, you can't have one approved. no0pb.gif

Yep - the rep had the wrong case number. The rep I talked to on Monday told me that according to the 6 month processing time for CSC, our case was still inside the norm....

I really hope the vj timeline estimate is right, if so, we should be getting some good news this week or next!! biggrin.gif
