Phil and Reem
Hey everybody-

First off, I've got to say that this website has been extremely helpful and informative for my wife and myself, so a thanks to everyone who's inputed any kind of info on here!

NOW my question-
I've recently filed my I-130, nearly a month ago. However... I haven't received any NOA yet, and as a matter of fact USCIS hasn't even cashed out my check yet. You'd think they would take your money within days of receiving your claim, but maybe not? The K-3 flowchart on VJ says 2-3 weeks until a NOA comes in. My wife and I know to be patient for the whole process to go through, but what's up chuck? Anybody have any input? I'd appreciate it, thanks!

Same here..hang in there...we should hear shortly...:-) Even called USCIS, they said to wait for 90 days, if we don't receive receipt notice by that time, than they could assist.

This link should help you....http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/ReceiptingTimes082407.pdf

As with most USCIS publications, those receipting dates appear to be pure BS.

P&R

All I-130 and I-29F(for K-3) are being handled by either CSC or VSC. Since you sent yours to NSC, they will forward it to the appropriate service center. In the past, the service center that initially received your petition would issue a NOA1 and then transfer the petition if needed. Now, they will transfer it first and then CSC or VSC will send you an NOA1. Mine took a little over a month to receive so don't sweat it.

Yes, I filed in mid-June, didn't get a NOA1 until late July. Once your check clears though you can go ahead and file your 129-F with the front and back of the check as the receipt. Might save a bit of time for you. I was dumb and waited about 2 weeks after the check cleared (waiting for a NOA1) before I finally called them and they said to file with whatever evidence I have. Good luck to the two of you.

We too are still waiting for notice or our check to be cashed. When I called the service agent told me that if I do not have any information from them in 90 days then to call back whistling.gif I was not expecting this also ment for my check to be cashed or the case to be worked on. Waiting to here from them soon..... wacko.gif

For K-3, Nebraska was never the correct service center to send the petition too under any circumstance (pre or post fee changes), so this petition will with out a doubt, fall automatically outside what would be considered the "norm".

Yup, my husband just called CSC & they told him to wait 90 DAYS before even calling now! What a bunch of crap! so, what if they "lost" our application??? that means that due to THEIR negligence (that WE are paying increased fees for!), we could be apart that much longer??!! Last week they had posted at CSC that they had applications up to Aug 14th input, now they changed it back to Aug 7th! Gee, I wonder why people try to immigrate illegally!! I am most definitely emailing USCIS-COMPLAINT@DHS.GOV & hope that others will join me! That's why Mr. Gonzalez is making the big bucks, right? He should have his ### fired!

For anyone that has not yet filed an I-130 for a K-3, I would highly recommend that you consider sending them together.

USCIS Application and Receipting Update

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) advises customers that, due to a tremendous increase in the number of applications filed, processing of fee payments and entry of cases into our tracking system is behind schedule. As a result, applicants can expect notices of receipt to be delayed. USCIS is working hard to deal with the increased volume.

Delay in fee processing and data entry will not affect an applicant's Change of Status or Extension of Stay eligibility if all other eligibility requiements are met. USCIS continues to process Premium Processing Service requests within 15 days.

USCIS will honor the actual date that an application was received in our mailroom; this date will be indicated on the receipt (in the Received Date box) when Form I-797, Notice of Action, is mailed. Until this situation is resolved, USCIS will provide these weekly updates on progress in issuing receipt notices to our customers. We appreciate your understanding.

As of September 7, 2007, USCIS has completed data entry and issued receipt notices for applications and petitions received on or before the dates indicated:

I would double check on sending in a copy of the check. According to the instructions of the I-129F they are requsting a copy of the front and back of the NOA1. You can find that in the instructions in the area on how to mail the form for a K3
