When sending a N-400 to TSC and being serviced by the Memphis Field Office, where does one send a request for an expedite???
1. TSC?
2. Memphis Field Office?

or Both?

Has anybody asked for an Expedite? Care to share?

Thanks for your input.

Why are you asking for an expedite on the naturalization?

Thank you for your response.
Its a personal matter.

Expedites are extremely hard to get approved, even for USCs petitioning their loved ones. Maybe you can call the USCIS to find out more about it.

yes expedite is possible. you have to have a very good reason and USCIS has to buy your reason.

Mike,
Do you have first hand knowledge of any fact situations where expedite has been granted?

I can't imagine what would cause a citizenship petition to be expedited. Military deployment maybe?

About the only time I've ever heard of citizenship being expedited was if the applicant was terminally ill and desperately wanted to die as a USC... but that might be an urban myth.

Realize that, even if you somehow get the processing of the N-400 expedited, the law says that you are not eligible for naturalization until you have completed at least three full years as a LPR. You can send the N-400 in up to 90 days before you're eligible for naturalization, assuming you meet the other requirements. In effect, you can give the N-400 a 90 day "head start", so that if they process it in less than 90 days, you'll have to wait until you finish your entire continuous residence requirement before you can be naturalized.

You make a good point. Thank you. I have already taken that into consideration.

Another exception is when you are offered a job with the Federal Government and U.S. citizenship is required, you'll have to prove to them that you 'got' the job.
