Ok, here is the story,
my parent entered the US on immigrant visa, almost 10 months ago and they have not yet received their green card. Now, it is my sister's wedding and they want to go back for about 2.5 months. the problem is that the GC stamp in their passport will be expired by the time they want to return. We made infopass apointment but they refused to renew the stamp(dont ask why!!). My question is what is the best way to make sure they can enter the US again? any form to file?
or more inportantly, can they go to the US consulate before their return trip to get a new stamp/.
please advise.

Thanks
YuAndDan
USCIS indicates that you should call them if you have not received the card within 90 days, you should call 1-800-375-5283, or schedule an INFO-Pass appointment.

I have done that so many times that I am tired of calling them. Everytime the file a service request and then I receive no response from USCIS. In any case, now that infopass appointment did not do any good, I was wondering if there is any alternative to ensure their return to the US.

Did you go to your local office for infopass appointment or did you just call the 0800 number????

Your parents should have got their greencards months and months ago.... they may have got lost in the mail.... if you go to a infopass at your local office you will need to take your parents with you as it is there case also take there passports and any letters you have recieved...

I did that. Apparently my dad's GC is on its way, but my mom' shasnt been issued yet. That is why I am lost as to what to do now that they have to go back. I mean, not travelling at all is the safest way, but since it is my sister's wedding my mom dont want to miss it.

Then you need to make another infopass appointment and get then another stamp.... take evidence of their travel plans and hope they get it.....
